I went to Tesco for my iPhone 4s - but did look into Giff Gaff.

The reason I was put off Giff Gaff was because the goody bags do not auto renew - i.e. it isn't like a recurring monthly contract.

So if you forget to buy another goody bag in time - you will start to get charged pay as you go rates!

I had my text from Tesco last Friday and got my lovely new iPhone 4S yesterday, luck of the draw I think as my husband is still waiting for his

I have heard from November 1st Tesco should have loads more stock
Sometimes I wake up grumpy, other times I let him sleep !:rotfl:

There is also a £35 topcash offering on new contracts via Tesco. So I've decided to give up my priority iphone offering from Tesco and will wait until they have plenty of stock. I will then sign up via the servants entrance :) (and cop some wonga back).

It might also allow me to get one from the production line with fully dried glue !
  • Anyone else had any luck ordering from Tesco?

    Getting pretty frustrating now!

Submitted my application today, so it looks like I've got a long wait by the sound of it. Registration numbers now in the 36xxx's.
  • I'm not sure what the story is with Tesco.

I registered the Saturday before they were released and still haven't had a text. My brother registered the day before they were released and got a text within a week.

I've spoken with the Tesco customer service a couple of times on the online chat and one guy said that they were texting those who had registered randomly. He also said that they would be selling the 4S to everyone in 2 weeks (so that would make it 8 November).

But I spoke to another guy on the online chate and he said that they are texting current customers who had pre-registered first, which explains why my brother got a text already.

My registration number is relatively low so I had hoped to been contacted by now.

seriously guys 3GS, 4 & 4S with iOS5 are crap - i have had all to use over time, Windows Phone 7 kicks !!! & you can get a Mozart 7 on o2 for £10.50 a month, put sim card away and use any other network than o2 for a good 3G signal.

36 hours I had my Mozart, & 24 months of a beta tester for Apple....thank god thats over !
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

Well, I've now tred WP7 and it's the same-old same old, so it is still iOS for me (after being a firm supporter since the days of Windows Mobile). I'll look again when the new WM7 Nokias come out, but I'm not expecting any major change. All preferences are subjective, but iOS was the first OS I came across that simply worked, without needing nerdy interventions to switch WiFi connections and the like.

    iOS5 rocks!
  • Any updates from those waiting?

Still no luck at my end. :(

Nope, no joy (or even news) here as yet.
