  • Im not sure how they got my phone number as I'm not in the phone book and rarely give my home number when filling in forms.

If you like a good arguement you will not get it with roxbughe/graham white, they hang up on me every time!

I think they must get a bit bored of hearing me say the same thing every time - "no, I will not confirm the first line of my address and postcode and no I'm not going to ring you back after receiving yet another letter ( the latest one was very pleasent, offering a discount if I paid immediatly) and no I'm still not going to pay, please take me to court! "

You did not leave the bullies behind when you left school, they left as well, it is life I am afraid, they are people too lazy to sweat and toil for money, they know they can become rich and have a very good lifestyle compared to the average working person if they can work out a way to get you to do the sweating and grafting bit and then "con you out of your wages".
    AND HERE IT IS.
Did you work for that money to give it to a scam artists who can not be bothered to work, so he can drive round in a new car whilst you go skint.
Ignore them, if they want your money, let them do what you have to do for it... Work for it.

I don't think that at all stupid.

Like many people I arrive at a thread after doing a search, hence clicking from a page full of links and not the page which you refer to with the stickies on.

    Chill

    Thanks mate.

The point is that I fully realise that's how you got here, but this being a forum thread, stupidly you did not then bother to click on the last part of the blue bar above which shows where this thread sits among hundreds: 'home > forums > Home & Play > Motoring, Public Transport & Cycling > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking'.

Try it next time you do a search and arrive at a forum; click on the right-hand end of the > blue bar list which always appears at the top of any old thread you care to view on any forum. It's a novel idea but it works...takes you to the CURRENT threads rather than the first old thread you have stumbled across.

HTH you in future. I'm out. :p:p

Without ducking the point it really is a case of "how long is a piece of string?". It seems that sometimes they are very quick in following up each letter whilst on occasions odd ones appear to turn up quite randomly out of nowhere. The longest ove3rall period, I believe, from start to finish is about 6 months. If anyone has communicated with them by appealing or replying to phone calls/letters then that might drag on a little further.

@matt12 - if the phone calls are now starting to bother you, when they next call tell them that the debt is denied and that any further contact from them will be regarded as harassment and you will report them. Then hang up. Always keep in mind that this is just a company with no more power than you or me to enforce a debt. In the final analysis all they can do is to ask although they want you to be frightened of them and therefore dress their demands up in psuedo-legal terms with liberal sprinklings of the words, bailiff/ccj/court proceedings to add the edge of a threat. If they want you to think they are throwing their toys out of the pram then let them carry on. From a legal point of view they have no toys or even a pram come to that. Don't let them bug you.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
  • Hi All

Ive read through all these threads now with interest after receiving my first Graham White Notice of litigation (aka Roxburghe). Im sitting tight based on the information on here.

I got the original parking “ticket“ in Leeds NR. Elland Road, when I parked in a private company‘s carpark (they left their gates open!) and was made to look like an official council/police ticket (is that legal?) I went on holiday at the beginning of August and completely forgot about it, so here I am.

I called my solicitor, who duly informed that there was a possibility the could take it to a small claims court for the demand of £207, as they implied that any notice at the carpark was deemed as the contract!? Not entirely sure about that. Im determined not pay these idiots, they are even sending the letter to a neighbours up the road as the lease company had my address wrong!

Would be good to hear how long it generally took them to go away
