  • Im in the same situation, but now I have been sent a reminder from debt recovery plus limited? Is that just another fanatical "company" made up by cp plus. I intend to ignore anything from them and continue to use their carpark all I want. Although I'd be very tempted to reply with a letter telling them to kindly f*** off.

DRP are not CP Plus but they can be ignored as usual, just means CP Plus have given up and given DRP a go at getting something. Their letters can be threatening but as usual are BS!

It is all one huge sham of impersonating authority and real contracts like those you sign, everyone has heard of the horror bailiffs employed by councils to chase real parking tickets and debt collectors chasing contract debts .
So what these private parking companies do is mimic and impersonate real authority.
Lots fall fall for it, some get sucked in by thinking they have found a loophole and fall in the set trap.
Others buckle and give in under pressure and even more end up paying the final reduced offer mopping their brows in relief at the reduction and removal of the court threat.
When in fact the whole show has been a huge bluff from day one with some thug in a back room and a lazer printer pressing print 4 or 5 times and putting 4/5 letters in post dated post piles.
Many who do pay then fall for the scams second wave, the late payment charges..Sorry your payment arrived late, now you owe another £100 or so, then again on the late payment charge for the late payment charge, some have been stung for thousands until someone intervenes and puts a stop to the scam.

The French have a saying, incidentally it does not work with them this scam parking tickets...they say
"Just because a parrot can bark like a dog, ask it to show its teeth"

Our sticky (permanent) info threads at the top of the forum are there for newbies' information and would have answered your question:

Your letter is there, pics of all known letter-chains in the top thread.

Also look at 'welcome, please read before posting' with it's info and the link to Watchdog on private parking companies (PPCs).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Complain to the store manager, they might see sense and kick the PPC out (like they have done in the Basingstoke store)
