  • Hello all,

Whilst being a 'lurker' for a while, I saw how everyone rated stardrops, so bought some. I have been waiting to use up all the other cleaning products in the cupboard, just so I could re-use the spray bottles I had - well I am now converted!!! Brilliant stuff - have cleaned the cooker, the kitchen (including cupboard doors!), the dining room, working my way round the living room and then its off upstairs! I had already sniggered to myself when I went shopping with a friend the other week and she bought loads of cleaning products - I was thinking "a 58p bottle of stardrops would do that, and that, and that! lol) Thank-you so much everyone.

(Isn't it sad when you get excited about a cleaning product????) lol

One question tho - if I wipe my statements with it, will it make my debts go away???? lol

Cleaning Bicycles the quick stardrops way.
This just crossed my mind last week when I got back from a particularly muddy ride with my mtb club, the dedicated bike cleaner is £5 a bottle whereas you can make gallons of Stardrops for pennies!

One thing I will say though is you MUST rinse it off thoroughly because it has salt in (unlike the likes of Muc-off etc.) which can corrode alu frames and wear away bearings quicker than necessaryamong other tragedies. So don't leave it on for too long and rinse twice!!!!

Oh, and if you have disc brakes, be mighty careful around those.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Also Stardrops is very effective used in a carpet wet vac - rather than the expensive carpet shampoos around!
Please let us know how much you use! We've just bought a wet vac, and are going to try it out this week!

Could someone advise on this? I would like to know too!
Ok Ive not tried it myself but what I would do is this:
Put the soda chrystals inside the machine and the stardrops in the dispenser drawer. That way, you cantclog up the drawer with chrystals.

I have been converted to Stardrops for a wee while, especially as all my chemical cleaners are now run out and I am reusing the bottles with stardrops in :D I've also converted my MIL to this and she is a hardened chemical cleaner user. :D

I must say that I have just used it on my t.v. and pine furniture instead of polish as I had run out of polish and the stardrops was to hand at the time. And was I pleasantly surprised, its brilliant :D

Stardrops is miracle stuff, my mum has used it for years. Way back when it used to come in a rather attractive glass bottle and me being the nosy and slightly greedy child I was I decided to drink some. It did me no harm apart from my mum, bring frantic for a couple of hours!

Also, if you are in Huddersfield and know someone who works at Thornton Ross ask them to get you an industrial sized bottle of stardrops or zoflora. Staff can buy them for a few pounds, making even more of a saving!

Just bought a bottle in Asda this morning - 58p. Funny you should mention the glass bottles chika cause that's what I was looking for, was quite disappointed when I spotted the plastic one (I hate change) I also remember the pink one but didn't see any of that, also Zoflora has changed it's packaging too, not as nice as the old one, maybe I'm just a sentimentalist :D

i do like stardrops, but it definitely dries out my hands a lot. yesterday i used just a little bit neat on a cloth for cleaning some dirty shelves and my hands were itchy and sore after. just need to remember to wear gloves i guess!
