Some boys will not be that keen to show an interest in girls in front of their mum.

My lil brother was like that. Always the best mate and never had any real thoughts of anything more than that.

However, in his mid-twenties, he is more than making up for it! And I think with all the practice at being friends when he was younger, these girls don't know what's hit them.

I wouldn't worry. I remember being 15/16 and the boys who were interested in sowing their oats were more 17+
  • My brother was like that too. No interest in girls. Complete maths geek. Mum had given up on him as a perpetual student. But now he's a partner in an accountancy firm and doing really well. He got a girlfriend after he'd got through his exams, got married, moved straight into a lovely house and has two lovely kids. I think he's not what you would call a multi tasker! One job at a time but he got there in the end and he was real catch. Good job, good looking and no baggage. There'd arent that many of those left these days.

My OH was about 25 before he had his first gf.. and my 15 y/o isnt much interested either.. he has a girl on his FB he went to primary school with that he chats to but that is the nearest he has got.. though I thin he may have a little crush on her.. ;)

I wouldnt worry and let him grow up in his own time.. so long as he isnt being bullied that is what is important.. and it doesnt sound like he is then all is good and as it should be! I think he sounds like a very sensible young man...

Cats are for messing with.. :D .. I play with ours.. one of ours likes being chased.. so I spend many hours chasing her around the house and garden.. she is insane! She brings twigs for me to throw for her too.. and leaves.. and when it rains she brings me worms!!

  • Nothing to worry about. 16's quite young, lots of people (boys and girls) aren't interested in partners at that age. I wasn't, I went out with my first boyfriend when we were both 18, and I was his first girlfriend.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.
  • It does madden me that some people seem to go on this forum just to be negative and rude.

You raised a query that was worrying you and on a forum where your son could not be identified. Most of the responses have been very positive and helpful. Hopefully the ones that are negative for the sake of it will soon get sick and move away.....
