Dont forget the addons - take your own towels and hairdryer to keep the cost down.
ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷

I've paid for the extras, as I really don't want to be lugging a couple of towels and my hairdryer about London when I'm up there.

I've also 'indulged' in the TV and Wi-Fi, well, for an extra £7 I thought I'd push the boat out!
    :)

Total cost of night in London Hotel £7.14
Hoping to get Megabus or Greyhound up for a couple of quid, then use Tesco Clubcard vouchers for eating out and a trip to London Zoo.
Anticipating keeping the cost down to around the £25 mark for two people for the two days and one night in the capital.

I thought i would pay the £1.50 at reception on check in, but for 2 towels and a hairdryer, i think ill pack my own. I'm lucky, london is only about 25 mins on the train, so i can be back in no time when ive finished my Monday, and i seem to recall them stating they will take 2 luggage bags per room :j

  • I had a date in my basket , pressed 'book' @ 8am on the dot too & it showed up as 2p!!! :T

So I booked it straight away , and please don't have a go , but I had another go! lol

Got a Tuesday in January and a Sunday in April .. Weekdays and Sundays seem to be the way to go

I prebooked the TV for the April date as I kept getting lots of popups I didn't understand so thought I better book SOMETHING in the way of add ons to make the pop ups go away! lol

Second try I was more relaxed and booked no add ons , will pay for TV when I get there and will bring own towels ... Had a 1p stay last time and fully enjoyed it as co-incided it with a night out in London :D:D

I've had a go this morning and managed to get 4 seperate dates.

It seems like rooms are transferable (unless the t&sc state otherwise) as there is a "Change name" option and doesn't look like you have topay to do that.

Would be ideal if there was a bit of swapping going on so people could get a decent 2 night stay out of it.

Even if I don't get 2 nights together, I'll still be getting cheap flights so will take advantage!
  • Okaaaay ... I don't feel bad about getting 2 now! ;) lol
  • Just in case anyone is looking...5th January works! Its for a double room with no windows though.

Their facebook page says to check Tuesdays - Thursdays!

    Hi Guys
Think about a backpacker, a student form EU on gap year come to London. They normally stay in a Hostel. One room to be shared with 8-12 other guys (m+f are mixed together)> It is normally only one bathroom and toilet in the corridor to be shared together with other people on that floor. For this type of hostel accommodation, It will still cost them at least £10 assuming that they already lucky, as the average price will be around £15 a day. There are a lot of people of this kind visit London everyday.

I get used to staying in this sort of accommodation when I was a student. I would have thought, for these sort of people this must be a real bargain. I believe many will agree. that this is a much better alternative then a hostel.

But If people get used to staying in a 4-5 stars hotel and expect to get the same standard and service, then probably paying 2p are not their cup pf tea anyway, so stay away then ...
