  • Afternoon all :)

Lovely and breezy in Kent today, I have took advantage of it and done 4 washes ... Hopefully it will be just as breezy tomorrow so I can do my Large throw again...Only washed it last week but between mum & DS they have managed to spill juice and tea on it :(

Had a really productive day today, got all the cleaning downstairs done, Gave the upstairs a good clean too, done the ironing, DH put the shelf up in the kitchen, I made a witches broom to put out in my porch on Halloween night and made a few rustic heart wreaths from Conkers collected by DS yesterday for the front & back doors... They look lovely even if I do say so myself...Mum was impressed as she got me to do her a few to take back home with her :rotfl:

Just got to prepare tea (Cheese and potato pie)

Think we will have a walk through the woods tonight after tea and gather some more wood.. Then back home and bath for all of us then bed early.

Right off to mop my kitchen floor before I go to pick the Master up from school.... Hope everyone has a lovely afternoon...... x

Happy birthday Candygirl....Hope you have had a lovely day... x

((((HUGS)))) to all those that need them... x

    Hi all,

Hugs and squishes to those that need ,em xx

Apart from making lunches and resisting the lure of a work place bacon butty in favour of a much more OS (cheaper) pint of milk, i,ve done nothing much today :o

Making a quick storecupboard curry tonight :D

Made a sausage meat plaite yesterday with some leftover pastry and some bargin sausagemeat from the freezer (£2 for 2.5kg) - not had this since I was a kid- OH loved it, and for the pennies it cost to make (approx 75p) will feed him for most of the week for lunches:T

Love a bit of retro cooking:rotfl:

Anyway have a great evening all xx

Hi everyone. Back from my hols - an idyllic cottage in the Derbyshire Dales. Feel rested and ready to go - just hope the feeling lasts. Have cleared up holiday things really quickly for once, done the washing so very pleased with myself. Weighed myself this morning...Noooooooo! Decided that it's back to the vegetable soup and yet one more effort to give up sugar in my black coffee. With a bit of luck I will get thinner while my purse gets fatter.

Have had a quick glance through todays post and gather that there are lots of health problems. So sorry if you are one of the poorly ones, lots of comforting hugs coming your way. Mollie, your news is just terrible, for goodness sake what is the matter with this country. When you think of the silly ways money is wasted it makes you want to punch someone on the nose. I hope you find the strength to keep on fighting.

I remember that before I went away someone said that when I talk of the vicaress she thought of the Vicar of Dibley - yeah! Size, shape and off the wall character, could be cloned. Someone else, can't remember who, wanted to Know if I lived near somewhere, can't remember where. I don't know when I got so forgetful! Still, if that person is still interested let me know.

Off to cook up more veg for the soup my head says I must eat. Pity. My body is screaming for fruitcake.

Windy and rainy here - still warm though unless it was just my temperature!

Went to work and ended up taking the afternoon off sick - been sleeping most of the afternoon. Going to do some knitting too a bit later!

I have been asked by the sister of one of my pen pals to embroider a patch for a friendship blanket for her. First I need to learn to embroider! So nervous as I don't want to mess it up.

    Which sounds better .........

    Friendship is ....

    letters from the heart.

    OR

    Friendship is ....

    a letter from the heart.

I can't decide and I think I have read them both too many times.

Just popping on briefly to send (((HUGS))) to Molly, I'm so sorry to hear the news.

(((HUGS))) also to anyone else in need, especially bargainbird

JackieO, hope you're ok after the flu jab, it seems to have made a few people feel unwell this time who don't normally have any bother.

Marie, hope you are getting as much rest as you need!

Too tired to post any more as have been prepping veg and meat for stew, took ages and I'm knackered now :p Still, it'll be worth it.

ETA - Angel_Jenny - I think I'd go with "letters" as I'm sure there have been a lot of them :)

Molly hugs, thats terrible news. I know friends who are fighting for an operation and are getting knocked back what feels like every week. I hope you are able to appeal.

I have been so good today!

Just made a batch of sausage rolls for OH's lunch, cleaned the bathroom and sorted the kitchen out AND have made pasta salad for lunches tomorrow too.

Still need to put clothes away and sort out the bedroom, but i watch to chill out for a while. OH is having a catastrophe at work so may be late, and i need to magically know what time to start our roast dinner so it's ready on time!

Looks like we're in for a storm, the sky has gone that funny yellow colour and it's very windy.

    ((((molly, jaxx and BB))))))

Had a nice catch up with the girls over dinner :) and free ice cream with a voucher.

Had some news earlier, my 17 year old cousin gave birth to a baby girl today....on her own mother's 36th birthday  :rotfl:. Sadly my cousin has caused quite a lot of trouble for the family so I don't think I'll be seeing the baby. But I've seen a pic on FB and I sent a card today.

Popped to Tesco earlier and got a cheapy cover for my Kindle, for soe reason the proper covers aren't out yet and I need one before I fly in 12 days (:j)

Need to do some uni work now, then going to watch trashy tv.

    Have a good night all

Oh my, my dinner smells lush, Hugh F-W knows what he's talking about!

Pup is crashed out, OH is in a good mood

Got to be up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to drop OH off 30 mins in one directly, our friend off 30 mins in the other direction, then to get to work on time!
