Morning all,
Very blowy here, washing is blowing on the line, hope it stays there and not on next doors garden
Today I need to hoover through downstairs, and have a quick tidy, do an online shop, prep dinner, and deal with a bag of apples from my mums tree, will stew and freeze them. Also want to nip to town for a few bits, we need some baskets for the shelves in the bathroom, so will try and get some of those. Also need mirrors for the bathroom. The door also needs a 2nd coat so will try and do that.
Dinner will be something with the tiny lamb shanks from sainsbugs, they are the size of satsumas :rotfl: I havs some mushrooms and peppers so might do a casserole of some sort.
Bargainbird, how is it going hun ?? please let me know you are ok xx
Have good days all x0 -
Well, all the old radiators are disconnected and in the garden, boiler switched off (glad I washed pots and clothes at 5 o'clock this morning!):rotfl: Kids and I are stuck in one room at the mo, watching kids' tv, drinking tea and surfing - what a nuisance!
Hope I can clean up one or two rooms by lunchtime, so I can do some jobs - hate being in and not able to do housework!

Morning everyone,
I haven't manaed to get on again for a while but have still been reading.
Had an audit at work a couple of weeks ago which for the first time in 6 six years, I didn't do so well and tbh it has completely thrown me now. I have begun to feel as if I don't have the confidence to do the job anymore yet I can't do more than I am. People cannot be forced to study and it's supposed to be elective learning!
Today I found out that a friend has taken a downturn in her health, she is suffering from breast cancer so it is not looking good now so I'm generally feeling a bit down today.
On the OS wise, I have been making hm bread more often now and will make a loaf tonight. Tea is going to be a mix from the freezer to use things up and washing was put on the airer this morning to dry.
It will be a nsd today as I'm at work, phone being charged here today so saving my electric. Its very grey and damp and I don't think I can be bothered to go to the gym today, nothing seems to be happening, all I'm doing is putting weight on and I don't have a OH to do it for so I give up today!!!!
Feeling sorry for myself and I know I shouldn't!!
Have a good day to everyone else.0 -

Hi x
I will read back and catch up but I hope you are all well and happy. Hugs if you need one x
Im in need of a hug myself as my funding my operation has been declined again. Obviously I will appeal but Im very upset and very weary as it is just another knock back and yet another fight. I have spent the past three years fighting or appealing unfair decisions and it looks like i will have to again xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Well, first day of half term today, have cleaned the house from top to bottom and changed the beds. The WM has been on constantly since 7 this morning, I think I will be cheeky and take it into work tonight to dry. There are enormous industrial driers there and it will only take about half an hour to get it all dry in one load!
Having a rest just now and waiting for garage to phone as my car needed something done - a boot cover. I thought they meant that thing that pulls our to cover the boot space (it's an estate) and told them it was ok cos it is in the garage at home!! Apparently it has something to do with the mechanics of the thing. I did feel a bit stupid!
Hugs to you Bargainbird, hope we hear that you are ok. Take care. XX0 -
