You see? Even your language is invaded by negatives and small goals. 'Bit less immature' should be 'more mature.' You set yourself up for failure before you even start; despite this talk of competitiveness, you seemingly hold yourself to the lowest standards of thought and behaviour of anyone I know. Which is why I'm going to do what I do now:
A while back I attended a 'personal development' course as part of a business management qualification I'm doing. It was superb (despite my expectations of naffness); a bit New Agey in places but it gave me 'mental tools' that I am applying in my personal life as well as my professional life. The guy's name is Mike George and this is his site:

Although the professional course was hideously expensive (paid for by my employer), he also does free weekend seminars (in the Cotswolds, I think), and I would HIGHLY recommend that you attend one if you can, work your way through his website and reading list. I think he would do you the world of good if you're courageous enough to face your issues and want to change.

Gabriel-Ernest... I'm surprised that you ever contemplate that your above might produce anything of use for phil. And yeah, I'm being negative now... No actually, I'm being realistic..
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
You could do all of that Phil, but often a simple J Arthur makes you feel better. Cheaper too.
Get a whistle and get into IT. You don't have to know a lot about computers, but you have to convince people you do. You'll never have to actually do any of it, as there'll always be people about you can delegate to.
What you need to know is "Jargon". It's main skill. Learn more here :

It'll get you past the interview, and once your sat down, thats it, mate. kerching !I wonder why it is, that young men are always cautioned against bad girls. Anyone can handle a bad girl. It's the good girls men should be warned against.-David Niven0 -
