I did exactly the same thing! The irony of it did strike me - googling ways of mapping productivity instead of actually just doing my work!

This made me lol, in a deathly quiet office. :o

LOL Greenie, it would be funnier if you'd popped on to brag about free food! This is MSE after all, we all love a free lunch! ;)

OK, here's another one "Didn't get charged £25 informal overdraft fee. Bye!"

    :p

What has happened, and I need advice on, is that through my mass eBay selling (the 'Sell It If It's Not Nailed Down' drive!) a buyer is opening a dispute because he hasn't received the item. I emailed him to tell him I sent it and got proof of posting and even put my address on the back in case it wasn't delivered. I said that I couldn't open a claim with Royal Mail because it had to be over 15 working days.

I've sold loads but nothing (thankfully) has gone missing until now. So what happens? Will I have to refund him and wait to get the money back from Royal Mail? It wasn't a massive sum (£10) but that money has gone to the debts!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Royal mail allow themselves 2 weeks to deliver which is why it has to be 15 working days. Inform the buyer that you will refund him if the item isnt received within that timeframe as you will be able to get the money from Royal mail directly at that stage. If he does open a dispute it will take him longer to get his money.

  • You've got to be kidding me? Now someone else has said they haven't received an item, but that only cost £1 - 99p was postage! :p

I guess I might as well refund that and say it was a lose rather than trying to claim. I wouldn't be able to anyway as I posted it at work so I didn't have to pay. Naughty, I know...

  • What a pain greenie, see if he'll hang on til next week then you know you'll get the money back. Id refund him pretty quick tho if you can.
I've had a seller messing me around for a month after something was lost, I'm always understanding but they're a business seller, they have more in stock, it only cost £2 and I need it for Halloween party on sat! They're going to get my first ever.negetive if it doesn't arrive in time.

Well I'm afraid I haven't done any work so far today :( I've been getting obsessed with future craft projects after spotting these knitted poufs. Aren't they so cool?

    3cf83ff07d9b3b65_Poufs.xlarge.jpg

Anyway after figuring out they have been discontinued by UK stockists, I found some patterns to make them. I haven't even made my pencilcase yet :rotfl: Let alone learned to knit!

...Must stop procrastinating and read. I have got 50 pages of theory left on this book I have to finish today.

Oooh the vodka in test tubes sounds so cool!!

Sorry to hear about the ebay shenanigans Greenie.

Hi everyone! Fashion show went really well last night, much better turnout than we anticipated so all good. Not sure yet how much we raised as I had to leave before the end but glad it all worked out!

Tink - To answer your question a few pages back, it was a fundraiser for the same charity that you all signed the petition for. I work there (but only for the next month I think and then it'll be voluntary) and have been quite heavily involved in organising the fashion show on top of that, hence why I've been so bad at keeping up with the thread lately!

Sorry about the ebay pains Greenie, no advice to offer, I get really worried whenever I sell something on ebay or Amazon in case I have problems with the post! Never had an issue yet but it's only a matter of time I'm sure! Was better in my old work place as I could sneak parcels into the DHL pile and get tracking numbers... I always used my Dad's advice for being a cheeky beggar doing things you shouldn't be, 'Look like you belong and walk with authority, no-one will question it'! ;)

Glad the fashion show went well Dippy, hope lots of money was raised! :)

Those pouffes are cool Lara... are you running before you can walk?! :p

OH has sent me a text to say he's landed... with a burnt and blistered arm after a stewardess dropped a full pot of hot coffee on him! He sent me a photo and he's all bandaged, poor bairn. Angry letter to Jet2 on his return I think!
