Hi everyone,
Catching up on whats been going on. Poppy has a mystery rash which the say is viral and inbetigo on her nappy area so was off work with her yestedray and my mum is up now looking after her. She is quite happy but didn't want her to go to nursery with the rash.
Dinah - go Grace with her thumbs up on the breathing equipment. I would definately look into any benefits you can get to stay off work longer as I think you would both really benefit from having more time together.
Birdie - hope your Mum is ok and recovering well. I had the most annoying person in the ward next to me after i had Poppy so i feel her pain.
Tete - that is really awful about the job moving. Doesn't sound like they care at all. Hopefully you can have a look and find something better although is horrible being forced into it.
Zig - lovely to hear you are doing so well and get you with the new bloke
.
Cinny - sounds like a fun day in London apart from the girl being so rude. Well done on the wins!0 -
Tete how rubbish of your work, as if they weren't even prepared to waive the parking fee
I know sometimes change is inevitable but you can't put a price on morale and as you say at least it would have been a gesture of some sort to acknowledge the upset it's caused. Do you have any thoughts on what you would like to do? I really wish I'd been born with some kind of burning desire to follow a particular profession but sadly I did not get hit with the ambition stick
Cinny London sounds fun, shame there was a bit of a dampener on things. You still did a nice thing and the fact that it wasn't appreciated is her loss. If Hamleys was anything like the HP tour then expensive is definitely the word! £8 for a chocolate frog! Wowee! And I also have to know, which ex-BB housemate was it?
Good news on Grace again, hopes she settles with the new formula and isn't too disgruntled at all the poking and prodding, lol at the dirty protest bless her
Glad your mum is feeling better Birdie and hope Poppy gets better soon too Wendz.
Kitty has had the all clear from the vets, they don't know what caused his blood sugar to spike so highly, suspect it was a virus so just need to keep an eye on him. I have asked him if next time he could please fall ill during normal opening hours so he doesn't cost us an arm and a leg again!

Mo from BB9
my Sister was gutted though, she still has a massive crush on Rex from the same year and if it wasnt for her boyfriend he was going to get them in touch. So close!
Hope little Poppy is better and less rashy soon! At least it doesnt seem to be upsetting her too much
And glad your cats illness wasnt something too terrible, Shrimpy! I bet he just wanted some attention

What a shame your visitor made things awkward on your day out Cinny! Sounds like you tried really hard and if she'd wanted to go to Hyde Park then she blinking well should have said so when you asked her what she wanted to do! She sounds quite b!tchy though so maybe she just likes to kick up a stink when it's too late to fix things just so she can have something to moan about! Don't worry about it.

Well done on your wins! :T
Hope Poppy's rash clears up quickly, bless her!
Shrimpy, I wasn't hit with the ambition stick either! It's rubbish, I so wish I had a calling! Yearly reviews at work suuuuuck because I can't tell them where I want to be in 3 years, but I just don't know!
Gosh, £8 for a chocolate frog! At least in Orlando it's *only* about $10 for one, so about £6.50! Annoyingly we bought 4 last time and got 3 of the same wizard cards so we'll have to get a couple more!
At least this time we won't need wands... I have got my eye on a Seeker's shirt though!

It worked! He wouldn't come out of his cat carrier when we brought him home late on Sunday night, so we ended up sleeping with the carrier on the bed between us with my hand inside so I could feel him breathing
I had to google Mo but I do remember Rex... Not my cup of tea!
Funny about your sis though, what are the odds of that! Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -
Aw bless you Shrimpy, glad he's OK! I know what you mean about the ambition stick - but I know what I DON'T want to be and that's still in this office another five years down the line (well, that office over there but ykwim).
Cinny she does sound like a real piece of work, don't mind her! If it were me and I was somewhere miles from home and there's was something I wanted to see I'd make sure everyone knew about it!
That reminded me about the wedding un-invite debacle - who was that? Disgraceful! I'd always assumed hen people would be closest to the bride and definitely have a full day invite. I'd be tempted not to go and not to send a present.
Great news about Gracie and hopefully you'll be able to get some sort of carer's allowance if staying off work longer than expected is going to leave you out of pocket.
Hope Poppy is OK - a boyfriend of mine had impetigo on his face years ago - horrible but cleared up no probs.
Eeeee I'm going on the Harry Potter tour next weekend!!!!! I think I need some radish earrings!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Am good thanks Dinah
You both have been dealing with so much with a lot of strength. Grace has got great parents!
Things good here, just off to Uganda tomorrow - my last trip! So much school work lies ahead in the next year. Eeeeeeeeeeek! Sorry to hear about the job stuff Tete, hugs.

That was me. It's getting a bit ridiculous now with regards to the hen weekend. The package includes dinner, which the hen has booked for 3pm! That's not dinner, that's a late lunch in my book and means everyone will be wasted by 7pm probably. It's going to be carnage and those of us who don't drink that much will be left to look after everyone else! Not thinking about it, just going to have a good time with my best friend regardless of everyone else's behaviour.
Will try and catch up with the thread a little later, been a bit manic here. OH's godparents were both admitted to hospital with pneumonia at the weekend and his godmother sadly passed away Sunday. Got a phone call Tuesday night to say his godfather didn't have long so we raced back home but when we got there he was sitting in the chair by his bed! Turns out OH's mother over reacted and just wanted her son home because she hadn't seen him for a couple of weeks. He was fuming because it's difficult for him to take time off work at the moment and his boss had made an exception under the circumstances.
Going to tackle the pile of work to do in my inbox. I'm ambitious but in a very general sense, rather than being focussed on my job. I want to do everything, but am far too impatient to do it step by step, I just want it NOW!
Glorious sunshine outside so decided to go for a lunchtime walk, sunshine had vanished by the time I'd assembled the buggy and got Grace in it, now it looks very grey so holding off to see if it clears or starts to chuck it down.
Diet started again today. I WILL log everything I eat and drink, it's the only way I loose weight. Have decided to just have the whole lot as my target, but to approach it with the attitude that it's a marathon not a sprint, if I can get there within a year I'll accept that. Was horrified that my Harcombe friendly breakfast came in at 666 cals, I'm actually considering doing a vegan week next week, it's on my 101 things list, and if it shifted a bit of bloat before my cousin's wedding I'd feel much more confident in my dress. I'm also trying to do some form of exerise 5 days a week, even a buggy walk counts.
Completed 3 more complex product mock ups last night, and 2 easyish ones today. Working on a third one which should be done in another hour or two. I haven't actually printed anything out though as the printer is upstairs and I don't really want to leave Grace down here for that long while I get them all done. Strangely I've kind of done the quick win mock ups first, rather than nessisarily doing the ones I'm most excited about. I keep dreaming about what it would be like if these are taken up and I have a little passive income in the background every month.
Tried to pay in Grandad's cheque, bank pointed out he's dated it sometime in September. Other grandad had a very small life insurance policy which should pay out in the next few days, when it does mum will give me the money she owes us for London and the cottage we booked for cousin's wedding, so we should be able to pay that off NIMs credit card as that expires sometime soon.
Really sorry to hear about OHs Godmother Ruby.
