Reading that I thought you were going to say 'comes out ugly' and I'm just sat here thinking 'WHAT IF MY BABY IS UGLY!'
I mean, they say everyone thinks their child is gorgeous but there must be limits..
That fear will keep me awake at night when I do get pregnant! OH and I were both pretty cute as babies but you never know!
Still, at least you're getting offers, our Mums both hold the view that they've done their time with sleepless nights. Grandchildren are to play with and coo over during the day, and hand back before the soaps start.
LOL, I think my Mum may turn to that view after having a baby for a full day, she's not looked after one for any length of time for about 25 years after all!
I wasn't too close to either grandma as they both lived in Newcastle but we'd go up a couple of times a month to see them, we always spent more time with Mum's side so I was closer to my Nana (Mum's Mum) than my Grandma (Dad's Mum) though, Nana made amazing bacon sandwiches and Grandma was awesome at toasties... my Mum is useless at all things cooking and baking so no idea what my kids will like getting from her... M&S treats no doubt!
I'm sure that MIL's will be happy to share the babies equally but we've also got 6 Godparents lined up who want to get involved and have days with the baby, then there's my brother (I don't trust his brothers!)... we'll be lucky if we get one day a week with it at this rate!
ETA: The middle name thing- as long as they're not too long and they mean something to you, go for it!
My brother has 3 names, and his 2 middle names are actually the name of a footballer- caused a little giggly whisper at his wedding when it was read out! My middle name is quite long so quite sufficient on its own! Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

:rotfl::rotfl: There is a woman who goes to one of the baby groups i go to and she dresses her baby in little pink dresses, but she looks more masculine than Noah :rotfl: :eek:im a bad person for saying that!!
I am very happy and content with Noah, I love spending time with him. OH keeps saying if he realised I would be this happy we would of had kids years ago :rotfl:Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Flower that made me giggle. There are some odd looking babies out there but I am sure their parents think they are gorgeous.
It really is lovely to hear how happy you are Flower.
I have a very whingey baby on my hands today, finally gone down to sleep for a bit so can have a break. Think it might be her top teeth starting to come through, we will see soon! Went to baby music earlier and she was happy as anything then whingey again as soon as we are home.0 -
Oooh Boden just sent me a £10 free gift card, no minimum spend for being a loyal customer.... I've only ordered off them once and I returned 2 of the 3 items!
The baby bits I ordered from Next sale arrived and I spend some time laying them all out on the bed... cue more crying at the oh so gorgeous tiny cuteness. I don't have loads as it's all different sizes, but I have 3-4 outfits in each size which makes me happy. Everyone says you get given lots of clothing, but I can't deny I loved getting a few bits myself.
Sold a few more BIN items on ebay this morning, so just made another withdrawal of £80.89.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I agree it is nice to get some things yourself! Also good to get them in different sizes.
I love baby boden, it is so cute. I got a £10 voucher a while ago and used a 15% off and free delivery code so got a £20 dress for poppy for £7!
Your ebay is doing great.0 -
I want a middle name:o. I have none. My surname is double barrelled (my great grandfather went into business with his friend and to show their commitments they both took each other's surname) so my parents decided against it. But I would like one:D.0

Just bought about 150 padded envelopes in various sizes off ebay as well as a huge roll of brown paper. It came to £44 however I'm spending an entire day today wrapping sold items in brown paper, I figure I'm less likely to get complaints, it's very little more money, and a lot less time to send things in padded envelopes, and if I could have spent an hour today wrapping and 3 hours listing that would have been a much better use of my time.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Not as snazzy as NIMs I'm sure as I just screen shotted them, but the charts for the new year.

As you can see it's a little different, and taking the baby fund and student loan out of things, and moving the goal DFD to June 1st has lowered what we need to repay by about £4 a day, but we're still missing that. We achieved roughly half of what we need to be paying off a day in January. But we did that with almost no mystery shopping or ebay money coming in, so I'm reasonably encouraged by it. Now we just need to build it up again so we can reach the target in Feb, and smash it to pieces in March to get us a bit closer to being on track. We do have a very expensive buggy purchase to make somewhere in there though.
And if you can read it you deserve a medal. I am thrilled to say we're sub 20k now on the new spreadsheet format.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

LOL, the poor little thing!
Kavics, it's odd but I always feel a little sorry for people without a middle name!
I wonder why we do give people 2 or 3 (or 7!) names when one will suffice? I like the story about your surname by the way!
Not sure if it's of any use to you Dinah but through work I can buy gift cards with a little discount but it'll add up if you're spending £100s on a travel system. I can get 3% off at Argos, 3.5% and at Toys R Us (Babies R Us).

Congrats on your pink news Dinah and NIM! You must be thrilled. It has to be said, there is defo nicer clothes for girls than boys. Max tends to dress like a mini version of his Daddy which is cute, although he looks like me!
Archers - so sorry to hear about your Grandma. Unfortunately my Nanny died last Sunday. We had the funeral yesterday and it was a wonderful celebration of her life. I did the eulogy at the end, it was lovely to share my memories of her. I got to see her on Saturday and was very upset because she was so ill so we were hoping she would go quickly.
Am loving all the baby chat
