I had a massage last Sat through Groupon, 10 min from where I live. It was the worst place ever, the lady asked me afterwards whether I would book another one and I said No. She asked why and I looked at her like it wasn't obvious. She than gave me a voucher for a massage, need to book it within 2 months. NO CHANCE. Not even for FREE.

So you are alive, I'd put together a search party kit to come looking for ya, tis in the cave and contains booze. How you guys settling into the new house?

You should have set off looking for me!

We have got the place nearly sorted a few boxes left in the garage and the pictures to go up. Mrs P has taken over most of the garage with shoes. This month has been extremely busy with orders which is a good thing and it gets me out of the office for a walk at lunch.

    Womanie bit

(You can come out the cave now Poolie)

Serious we need to get a cleaner in that man cave. The cardboard boxes from all the pizzas and takeaways are starting to get damp and smelly due to wet shoes! Also, who disconnected the power to the beer fridge! This is a crisis as the beer is getting warm! NIM we need to get this sorted.

Did I leave beer in there? I got this new solar powered one, hooked the mancave up to solar too, naturally I did it all myself and we're getting the good feed in tarrif, so its making us money.

Was considering a turbine but I thought the ladies might get annoyed the views are being spoilt.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Slight problem with the solar power! When did you last see more than 10 minutes sunshine in that area of the country? Making us money till the Government find a way to cut that off. Can't we sell the excess back to Dinah for your house at an excellent rate of course.

Well we could put up a small turbine or are you thinking it will need to be the largest in the area?

Well I have about finished a tin of heros in about 4 nights. I MUST get to the gym tomorrow it has been calling me for 3 days.

Have been giving a colleague to work and she paid over the £10 for the week which is helping to cover some of my petrol she was going to give me more but since she is only 1 mile extra than I need to do I didn't have the heart.

    1. Resubmit items to Amazon for new postage label None of the fiction books are now showing as available to trade in so it's not worth doing for 80p. Another lot for the car boot pile I guess
[STRIKE]2. Do the payday money shuffle[/STRIKE]
    3. Finish listing everything in the lounge and tidy it all away...then get NIM to get another box or two out the attic to list tomorrow while he's out.
    [STRIKE]4. Write Hilton complaint email[/STRIKE]
    5. Get NIM to update the spreadsheet with our real numbers now we're not hiding the baby

I'm actually querying the last one tbh. I quite like keeping track of the student loan as well. I might see if NIM can't find a way to keep it on the spreadsheet for information purposes, but not contribute to the monthly total and the graph.
    Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81
    Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off

Should be only a case of adjusting the formula he has used. Make sure he does it before he gets back to the beer fridge in the cave otherwise nothing will happen.
  • Hmm, this is why I've never actually booked a groupon yet - it's never somewhere I've heard of! Or it doesn't seem such a bargain - half the time I'll be thinking "Well I know xxx Hotel up the road does it for a fiver more, and I won't have all the hassle and restrictions of trying to book at the same time as the other 1000 people who took an offer". Speaking of which, I've just got booked up for a very swish spa weekend with some girls from my running group for my birthday. It's £160 each for full day's use of spa, a mud treatment, a massage, meal in the restaurant and a night in the hotel. I thought this was an OK price for all of that but then was thinking about booking myself an extra treatment on top and looked at the prices ... £85+!! So er yeah, I'll be having a facial the day before at aforementioned xxx Hotel I think!

Gosh Dinah I've said it before and I'll say it again - I never even think about my student loan! Unless I win a serious amount of money, paying it off isn't an issue :D

Birdie, wow lucky you! I'd love to get a payrise I can actually*see* - ours went up by a whole £40 this month, and that includes the backdated money from September. I'll be up by about £7 next month :o

  • Ooh that sounds lovely Tete.

Having a nice weekend here, every year York has a residents weekend where all the attractions are free with your library card. I didn't realise this until Friday but yesterday bf and I managed a river cruise, cliffords tower, the minster and a ghost walk! Hoping to do something with a friend today as well.
It's really good, town's heaving and everyones chatting about what they've done etc. Also the wind is blowing in the perfect direction from Nestle today and it smell amazing! Makes me not want to move away when it's as nice as this.
