Poor Noah, hope he feels better today. My SIL's cousin couldn't bring her 4 month old baby to the wedding as she was really poorly with a sickness bug, some stupid woman had brought her sick baby to weigh-in clinic and all the babies (some as young as 6 weeks) got ill with it, along with all the Mums and Dads, I could think of nothing worse than being that ill and having to look after a tiny person and worrying about them too!

Silly woman! Some people just dont think at all!

I'm hoping Noah will be feeling a bit better after a nap, hes not too bad at the minute (touch wood), but I'm starting to feel a bit run down and sniffly so I hope we dont just keep passing it backwards and forwards to each other!

Was supposed to be going Christmas shopping today but dont really want to take him out in the cold if hes not feeling well.

I love your advent house Birdie! I dont have an advent calandar this year :(

I've got a Mr Men one, with Mr Men embossed chocolate blobs. Today I got all excited because the little door was double height. I thought that would mean *two* chocolate blobs but instead all I got were some naff stickers :rotfl:

Today is my deadline day for two pieces of work (had to get an extension on Friday :(:() Can't wait to get shot of them, both are crap. Tomorrow is volunteering day but have got mostly a whole day's data entry to do (yawn). Friday I am going to take off to catch up with student conference organising and general life admin. I might even go shopping with my vouchers and get some new clothes (*feeling faint with excitement*). Then Saturday I have to take the suitcase of baby clothes that I have purloined from my sisters and Mum to the airport at 5am, because it's going to the Sanyu Babies Home in Kampala :j. Then I am going to make sausages - after all this time!!! On Sunday my friend is having a Cake and Cava birthday party, what a good idea.

Wendz aww so sorry that it was the special ornament that broke. LOL at your suggestion Birdie!

Hope little Noah is feeling better too.

I didn't know here that well but she was really lovely and just feel for the family.

Anyway sorry to bring down the thread!

Birdie - can i borrow your mum to do me an advent calander??

Flower - i always find me and poppy share illness so when they are ill you feel awful too and you have to carry on looking after them. Gives me new found respect for my mum.

Good luck with your deadlines Lara. Also with the sausage making , saw Kirstie Allsopp doing it the other day hehe.

Oh it's just so sad Wendz, makes you realise how fragile life is :(

On a lighter note, we bought our tree at lunch and it's been dumped in the living room so I'm decorating tonight. :xmastree:It was funny getting it home, we bought it from the supermarket next door and it wasn't wrapped in the netting as we'd pulled it off to have a look :o, OH was carrying it home (it's about 5 and a half feet tall) and as we turned the corner there was a massive gust of wind and OH nearly went flying off with the tree as it was acting like a sail! Was like a stupid challenge on It's a Knock Out trying to walk the 50m to our front door! :rotfl:
