Yeah! Well, probably a year and a halfish! How time flies, I thought it was last year but it was the year before! Can't believe it!
I actually had a depressing security check the other day with my CC company, I had to confirm how old I'll be on my next birthday and I had to really think hard about it as it didn't sound right at all!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Just logged into my Santander account to find they paid me my £100 incentive for switching! they had told me I was ineligible due to a direct debit mixup (long boring story) but it's just appeared! Going to transfer it out quick and - lo and behold - its just enough to clear my CC! I love it when bank incompetence errs in our favour!!
Also, I ordered a few Christmas presents from Cath Kidston online, one of them was a mug in a tin. When it arrived the tin was all scuffed and scratched so I emailed to complain (really couldn't be bothered to send it back as that defeats the whole purpose of internet shopping!) and got a 'Sorry' email back but no discount or anything. Was a bit cheesed off but last night, mysteriously, my order was delivered again (but with one item short) so now I have two of everything including a new tin in pristine condition! Am hoping to return it as the original order and get a refund! Worst case scenario they'll twig and won't refund me but I'll be no worse off and at least I'll have everything in good condition.
I am one happy lady today!

Cool, I love it when good things like that happen Shrimpy!
I haven't have any luck sending off e-mails to complain recently, I sent an e-mail to Dorothy Perkins to moan about the tights I bought a few weeks ago as both pairs clicked and laddered after one wear and all I got in reply was, 'Take them back to the shop'... I'd have done that if I had the original packaging and receipt, duh! I just wanted a little goodwill gesture to say 'Sorry, buy some more on us and see how you get on with them'.
I bought a t-shirt from Fat Face for OH (15% off code!) and got it delivered to my local shop and collected it last night; they didn't ask me to sign for it, to confirm my address with them or show the card I paid with, nothing. It's a bit worrying!
Happy birthday for Monday Shrimpy! Any nice plans?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Yay Cinny is back too!
Great news Shrimpy on both things, hopefully sending one back will work.
Just walked up the big hill to the post office to send my old phone off for a whopping £13, every little helps and all that.0 -

A friend of my sisters bought some shoes, I *think* from ASOS, and when she go home from work the delivery person had just thrown the package on her front lawn. Luckily no one had helped themselves during the day. She was so cross about it (and I do think this is a bit naughty) she rang and said they hadn't been delivered, so got sent another pair! I seem to have had most of my parcels left for me recently but they usually hide them away. I guess it beats picking them up from the sorting office as the lady who works in ours is vile!
Sorry, went off on a bit of a tangent there!
Going to the German Market in Birmingham on Sat with some friends and I think for a meal afterwards, it was my friend's birthday last Monday so a bit of a joint thing. Nothing planned for Monday apart from a house inspection from our letting agency!
I'm on a good run with complaints, got a £5 voucher from Tesco for a bone in my beef (which did make me feel sick to be fair, it wasn't a whole bit but a kind of shard _pale_) and a replacement power cable for our mp3 dock when ours died. Come to think of it, maybe I'm actually having bad luck with 'stuff' rather than good luck with customer service!Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -
I was about to say poor poppy, but just looked up what was number 1 on the day I was born and its cliff richard, mistletoe and wine. Yuck.

LOL Shrimpy, it does seem more like bad luck than good service!
