Ohhhhh and good news is that breakdown cover is now for 5 years (as with the warranty) - it was only 1 year when I got the last one.
So ..... £38 / year saved on my breakdown cover - which can help for the difference in tax!!!!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Morning all
not written much this week as has been mega busy (and I've been really tired - think the end of the lurgi still lurking).
Anyway, starting to get the hang of the car- it really is a totally different way of driving but getting there!:D Funnily enough, everyone keeps saying "keep that foot tucked away" but it's not the foot going for the clutch that I'm having problems with ..... it's the hand going for the gears:o
It's really easy to drive- Maisie's not been allowed in it so far .... was trying to keep it clean for as long as poss :rotfl:Going down to DMs tomorrow (to show it off
) so she will be in then.
Going to get DM to help me convert the back into a boot for her (have remembered to put the new cover in already - memory like a sieve these days) - which should hopefully make her a bit happier and keep some of the mud at bay!
Popping up to the big Mr A this morning - really an excuse for a drive but TBH, the fuel costs are more than saved with the difference in prices there - we only have a small one near(ish) here and I paid 82p for a big courgette the other week but I can get 3 biggish ones for £1 at the big store  and it's like that on all the F&V. Also, much bigger selection of WW stuff (avoiding their sauces etc which I do think are expensive) but their yoghurts etc are fab!:T
Still not heard back from the G&E co after my email about the increase (that's a week now - I bet they've sent them to everyone at once instead of staggering them & are inundated with unhappy people emailing!). Although I did get a new statement which shows I'm still in credit and has put my new yearly consumption at £730 which is just under £61/month so should mean my £64/month is fine ..... not bloomin' £88/month
Need to get the WM working - 3 loads of my stuff to do  and also yet another load of towels for Maisie  and it's lovely & windy outsideGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Well..... have had a lovely day at DMs:D - we managed to convert the back into a boot for Maisie and she has her own wee bed in there (and old bread basked with a duvet over :money:) and I've managed to fit a couple of storage boxes between the bed & the back of boot to keep stuff in / shopping etc (although it'll have to be non-edible stuff if she's in the car:rotfl:).
Have all my receipts to update the SoW .... dreading it a bit- groceries is still way out of hand....... (although I did do a bit of stocking up as was up at Straiton yesterday and got loo rolls, tissues etc at HB as so much cheaper there).

Maisie's budget is out the window  - she's still having tum troubles so am having to change her food which has involved some spends - really hope it works!

Thanks Beanielou now going with the hope that a hypoallergenic food will help. Of course, it's more expensive but will hopefully be offset against the cost of having so many trips to the vet ...... fingers crossedGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

One of our dogs had to have Chappie for most of her life due to sensitive intestinal problems. I know you are pretty informed on these things. I just wanted to check; do you know about it?
