How much to spend and how much off?

Ahhhhh, thanks :o (can you tell I'm not usually a paper buyer:rotfl:)

Just mentioned it to mr el and his response, but we don't buy anything from aldi, what would we buy? Would it be a bargain really ?

He has a point I spose

Ahhhhh hun - if you don't need it ..... this is the dilemma I had with the £4 off £40 for Mr T (runs out Sunday & won't be used:))

But Al*di - I do shop there & haven't been able to go for weeks (and weeks & weeks) and there are def things I get there that DM is getting at the "normal" SM that's costing a lot more than I usually pay (things like sliced ham, turkey, cheese, yoghurts etc) so I will use it to stock up on these ....

Hopefully they'll be quite long dated & will last me a fair way through December:).

I've just had the shock of my life as glanced at my calendar and saw that my Dr appt is tomorrow AM - and not Fri AM:o. Thank goodness I looked!

Need to write a note to take to remember to get the paper (memory like a sieve :o) and will check how long it's dated (usually a week). If so, will hang off until Tues to go (have to go back to town for another health appt) as have enough stuff until then.:)

I think I may buy the paper anyway, I'm like you though and don't buy papers lol
  • OMG just went to put the bins out and .... it's absolutely freezing:eek:

Car's frozen solid (mine rarely freezes as my drive's tucked round the side of the house - and is also sheltered by the garage at the front of it)......

Bbbbbrrrrrrrrrrr - is that winter arriving

Good job I put the emergency bag in the car yesterday;) (snow shovel lives in it all year!:o) - struggling with a few bits (such as sleeping bag etc) as now have the back seats down to make it a mini-estate for the car so don't really have a boot anymore!

Put the fuel can in it just now so I don't forget that as Dinky really needs filled up - and she really needs the run!

Hi Rising, just caught up with your diary (well read to April and then hopped and skipped the rest of the way):).

You are doing brilliantly and I love your plans and lists. I'm an F1 fan and so glad to see Jensen doing well but sad to see Schui go.

I'm also going to adopt your rounding down idea in January. Usually I have no money left to round anywhere but will give it a go:o.

Ohhhh - found that there's actually a Challenge for rounding down - never knew about it this year but will be joining for 2013.

Have put a link to this years' thread (hoping there will be a link added to this years thread!)
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3646567 new Challenge opens on Sat 1st Dec (only 3 days to go!) if anyone's interested.
