• And it is the landlord that has contracted G24 not the retailers on this park.

2 years ago I got a fine from a traffic warden for going over the 2 hour limit on the larger parking area of this park. Now it has been replaced by G24 the limit has been extended to 3 hours and at weekends they give you an additional 30 mins to take into account parking and leaving the park which is more than enough time. Yes receiving a fine is never a nice experience and something that I would really not want to pay but that park has to have limits where it is so close to the station and the town and who never looks at time limits when parking somewhere. When I got my fine my friends all had a good laugh as they all said it is a natural reaction to check parking limits and costs wherever you go as everywhere is different and more and more place now charge. It is still refreshing to have a good retail park with good shops that gives you plenty of time to do what you need. My sister in Walsall has to pay £6 if she is on her local park more than 3 hours.

Fe, Fi, Fo, Fum, I smell the blood of a PPC Troll!!

Why on earth should there be any time limit on shopping. I am lucky if I go shopping I am in and out like a bad curry. However my wife and daughter can spend hours buying a pair of socks.
Landlords bring these companies in to stop abuse supposedly, unfortunately 99% of the abuse is caused by the PPC!

PS: I hope the fine you paid was a council one and not a PPC charge?
• I have received a pcn from G24

I parked over the alloted time of 180 minutes by exactly 19 minutes.

I am a regular customer of Homebase visiting the store about once per week

When I received the fine I wrote them a letter stating that my car key had broken and I had to wait on my partner to bring the spare key.

They have now asked me for a receipt or bank statement proving that I was in the store that day

I have provied the evidence and posted a reply back

What should I do now???

thank you MSE for providing a forum for this and the good advice that you give (my car is eighteen years old and I have just started my own small business as a plumber with help from the Enterprise Allowance Scheme.

Every penny is precious and I certainly cannot afford parking fees -

Please start your own thread!

Don't bump or otherwise hijack old threads - especially outdated pre-POFA ones as it confuses other posters and you won't get any sensible help!

Welcome to MSE! :)

But you do need to start your own thread as every case needs individual advice. This is an ancient thread from 2011(!) and we have new threads every day on here; you will find them and the blue 'new thread' button, simply by clicking one click (as shown in my signature below).

If anyone would like to contact the CEO of G24 his name is Adrian King and his email address is adrian.king@g24.co.uk.

Also the head honcho of IAS Independent Appeals Service is John Llewellyn Gladstone Davies. You can't reach him by phone at IAS, but you can at his other business, which is Gladstone's Solicitors. His email address there is enquiries@gladstonessolicitors.co.uk, or for a free chat ring 0800 619 666.

IAS and Gladstone's are both in the back yard of a pub. The net worth of IAS is currently £206. Singular horses spring to mind.
