G24 Contractual Parking Ticket **HELP**

  • So I can't demand a refund? i.e. I had interpreted that the contract to park was between the landowner/G24 and the driver. Therefore if I wasn't genuinely the driver, does the law not support me even though I have paid? Can G24 demand to know who the driver was?
Can I take them to court?

I do intend to go to the press this week.

With Christmas coming, many, many innocent shoppers are going to be receiving an expensive Christmas gift from G24 this year.

Given their reply it would seem they never read your appeal, it is totally irrelevant to what you wrote, and proof if any was needed that there is no appeals process.

Don,t give up on the bank, they will say no because its easy for them, tell them you want to speak to someone higher. Also contact Amazon regarding this it could well be against their terms and conditions.

As I said above G24 can't "demand" anything, just as I can't "demand" you give me information you don't want to tell me.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

You could take them to court and you would probably win but you still would not get your money back. These parasites don't have any assets [that you can see] and they ignore county court judgements.
If you where lucky you may get a secondhand PC!

You are wasting your time. I so wish you had not paid something that, with a little research online, is clearly 'outed' as a SCAM.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Take the PPC and also the landowner whom contracted them to court. The PPC will ignore CCJs, but the landowner would generally have some assets.

Given the bank have been so unhelpful you could add them into the case ? Ot at least tell them that if they don't a charge back within x days you will sue them along with the PPC and landowner.

Although back to front I will be fighting and intend to go to the local press if a reversal is not possible! But I must admit that I was taken in by the charge notice and the photographs. What really rubbed it in, was that while paying the charge the G24 web site almost conditions you to think you should be enjoying the experience by displaying and stating that that your "shopping basket contains 1 contractual Parking Charge Notice..". ..as if I was on Amazon!???
The charge is equal to 2 years Road Tax! It was a monday and the car park had very few cars parked.
If you were taken in (i.e. deceived) by the content and format of the ticket then you should complain immediately to Trading Standards (via Consumer Direct). Don't bother with the police they will likely fob you off about it being a civil matter.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
  • My wife has a 'demand' from G24 having parked at Central Six whilst shopping. I was just about to pay the 'fine' when I googled 'G24' and came across this site. Glad I did! G24 will not be getting any of our money.
  • 2 years ago I got a fine from a traffic warden for going over the 2 hour limit on the larger parking area of this park. Now it has been replaced by G24 the limit has been extended to 3 hours and at weekends they give you an additional 30 mins to take into account parking and leaving the park which is more than enough time. Yes receiving a fine is never a nice experience and something that I would really not want to pay but that park has to have limits where it is so close to the station and the town and who never looks at time limits when parking somewhere. When I got my fine my friends all had a good laugh as they all said it is a natural reaction to check parking limits and costs wherever you go as everywhere is different and more and more place now charge. It is still refreshing to have a good retail park with good shops that gives you plenty of time to do what you need. My sister in Walsall has to pay £6 if she is on her local park more than 3 hours.
