So far so good, Googler. Now how do I sync this with my MP3 player. At present I sync through Windows Media Player.
Can't thank you enough for getting me started.0 -
Told you how to do that already -
"If you want to use them outside of iTunes, then use Windows Explorer to navigate to the Podcasts folder in your iTunes library folder, and they're all there as mp3 files. Copy/paste them to the other location you want them in."
Have you used WMP to put mp3s onto your mp3 player already? If so, then copy/paste the Podcast mp3s into the same location as you're using for regular mp3s and Sync them the same way as you do already.
On my PC, the path to the Podcasts is
C:
Documents and Settings
Owner
My Documents
My Music
iTunes
iTunes Media
Podcasts
(Folders with Podcast Names)
and the mp3s are within the individual Podcast-named folders.0 -
Many thanks for this. Now making headway. Will report back when I am sure I have got the hang of it.
You will have gathered that I am not very technical but am trying and with your help will get there.0 -
The path to your Podcasts folder may be different - if so, find it by doing a search on your C: drive for 'Podcasts' (without the quotes)0

Hi, Googler - Now they are not downloading at all. Instead of Itunes, Qtimes is opening but doesn't seem to do anything. When I search for podcasts the folders are empty. I have spent so much time on this and getting more and more frustrated but don't want to be beaten!!0

Hi,
well here's my tuppence worth.
I presume you are using the BBC Podcasts site, I just left click on link, let it open in Windows Media Player and play for a few seconds, click on sync, then click and drag link across to right hand side, then start sync, you will need receiving device connected, of course.0 -
Frugalmacdugal - I don't know how to listen directly from podcasts and to listen I go through iplayer so I can't understand how to get to WMP. Can you direct me please?0
-
Hi,
you should be able to find it, Start > All Programs > Windows Media Player, or type Windows Media Player into search box.0 -

Again, what do you mean by this? At what point does 'Qtimes' open?
The folders within the iTunes library will be empty until you successfully download a Podcast USING iTunes. When you said 'So Far So Good' I took that to mean you had some Podcasts in the LH pane of iTunes. Do you?
My method of getting the Podcasts in the first place isn't to get them via the BBC website, but to open up iTunes Store and subscribe to them there. Have you been doing this?0 -
As an example, here's the R4 Friday Comedy podcast - at top of the page, there's a link/button titled 'iTunes' with the prompt to use this to subscribe to the podcast.
Have you tried this?
