Thanks for that, just flew into a blind panic for a while there.

You're not the first and you certainly won't be the last :D

Won't the printout i made from working out my interest charges be sufficient, or do i really need the spreadsheet?

You don't _need_ a spreadsheet, it just makes it easier to work out the interest if you have to reconfigure the dates.
It's the one i sent to the bank with all the details of the charges on.

Actually you shouldn't have sent the banks a total of the interest because a) you aren't entitled to it yet and b) you don't know what the total amount is yet as the interest is worked out for each individual charge from the date the charge was made to the date you issued your court claim. You wouldn't have known the date you issued your claim when you wrote the letters to the bank.

my hubby and i earn 11,000 per year and get both working families tax credit snad child tax credits.

I'm not sure what the limits are, but it sounds like you probably will be entitled to not pay the costs. The downside is that you will have to go to your local court as you won't be able to use MCOL. You need to fill in an exemption form.

This link will give you the PDFs of the form

    and explanatory leaflet

Yes you will be exempt from fees but your are not going to be able to use MCOL but will have to go to your local court. This is not a particulary bad thing as you can make the particulars of claim much more detailed and include a lot more detail.

    read this thread.

I would suggest that you read as much as you can and fully understand what you are doing BEFORE you issue your claim.
