Ebay woes

Yes I was going to to say the same as martindow. Don't let the seller drag it out past the paypal deadline. I think I would be opening a case now as it has been a month and it sounds like the seller is not making any attempt at all to be helpful and/or apologetic.:www: :: MFi3 ::

I would open a case. You don't have to escalate it yet, just open it. Make sure you open a Paypal one.0

I've opened an eBay dispute. Sorry I've not done this before so bear with me! Do I open a separate paypal one?
I've asked for a tracking number but the seller hasn't given me one. Which sends alarm bells ringing...
I guess there isn't much else to do now?0 -
Not neccessarily. It would no different to someone in the UK sending abroad using Standard Airmail - no tracking number for that but doesn't mean its a scam. Of course the seller will have ultimately shot themselves in the foot without tracking as they will lose any case raised against them for the missing item.I've asked for a tracking number but the seller hasn't given me one. I still reckon its currently sat at customs in Coventry waiting for someone to look at it and apply import charges. Its a shame because that really wouldn't be the sellers fault although its not fair on you to keep waiting.
Just a thought - try phoning your local ParcelForce depot and ask if they have it. If its waiting for payment of import fees then PF will have sent you a letter and they have been known to go missing in the post!0 -

No, you can only have one case. Ebay is fine but Paypal has more finite time limits. The outcome will be the same.0 -
I'll try contacting parcel force. It's under 2 weeks until my fianc!s birthday now. Just disappointed as I can't afford to buy him another present.0

You could also try UPS, nearly all of my 'from US' parcels are delivered by them, I don't know if it's a coincidence or just relevant to the area I live in? But then, where do you draw the line. Your seller should be giving you the carrier info for you to track it down. It is in both your interests to do this.0

They have - its USPS, which is the US equivalent to Royal Mail. A seller shouldn't neccessarily have to know which domestic postal service parcels are handed over to in every country they ship to, which in the case of the UK will be Royal Mail/Parcel Force.chancesare wrote: »Your seller should be giving you the carrier info for you to track it down. Yes I saw that, I meant tracking - apologies - (if there is any). The OP will have a tough job tracing a parcel without any reference, unless they get someone very helpful on the phone.0 -
Just an update folks, still hasn't arrived but the seller refunded me fully. I've managed to get the same item from someone else but £30 dearer! Oh well.0
