Good morning,
Camelot really sorry about your hens
It's freezing again!!! But I feel great!! Have woken feeling like I have a new foot today :j there is still pain there but I can walk properly (woohoo) The painkillers are def working there magic, time will tell how long it lasts but I am making the most of my new found freedom!!!
DD was off to school happily as ever, my sister is en route to take me for that much needed food shop :T I still can't drive but that is down to the strength of the painkillers which still make me feel like I'm on cloud nine :rotfl:
I found some neglected pears whilst making packed lunch this mornin, so will make an upside down pear sponge later yum yum,
will prob have a whizz around all the rooms but I'm still not going 2 do to much 2 soon as I'm scared I'll be sofa bound again

Morning all,
So sorry to hear about the poor hens!:(
I have a lot to get through at work today but here's my list of non-work stuff!
- 2 loads of washing - one in before work and one to do this evening.
- write to the doctors regarding registering (havent changed doctors since our move and we need to because we are outside of the catchment area for our current one).
- pop to morrisons for petrol and a few bits of "diet" food to keep me on the straight and narrow over the weekend.
Plans for the weekend are to pop into town to the cheap card shop for a couple of cards, also look for a nice gift for the birthday of a colleague (hopefully in the M&S outlet shop!). I want to see if I can find a nice, cheaper hairdresser too - am going to go into a few whilst I am in town for a consultation and price!
I also need to do all the usual chores of cleaning, changing beds, ironing and perhaps a little bit of exercise!
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all
Didn't get to bed until 2.30am because of baking cakes for the school - DH asked me to do them at 7.30pm last night to go in today  so by the time they had cooled and I had allowed the fondant to dry out before painting them with the food colouring it was the very early hours of the morning.
I didn't get up until 9.30am. I am still shattered and my eye sockets feel like they are going to drop out of my head.
But they went down well so I am happy with that
Sod's law DD overslept this morning and was flapping about so DH took her down in the car - I don't see why I should wake a 22 year old though.
When DH got back and I was in the shower the doorbell rung and it was my local Greengrocer bless him he brought a load of pickling onions round for me - two guesses what I will be doing for the next couple of days. I want to get the Christmas cake made on Sunday as well.
Well I am off to peel the onions and brine them up ( I hate that part of pickling)
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Me again.
I managed to get out of going to W Walesgood cos I'm still feeling a bit wobbly and it also means I have more time to prep for my date tonight!
I am having my hair done at 6 tonight too, though this was booked ages ago.
Today I need to also sort present for colleagues wedding which is tomorrow (we are all going to the night do). Think I'm going to get Euros cos they are off to Seville for few days after wedding.
I'm absolutely freezing in workwhich is odd cos our office is normally boiling. I've got a vest, polo shirt and cardi on (and jeans!! :rotfl:) and I'm still cold. Normally it's too hot in just the polo shirt. Hope I'm not coming down with something.
Camelot - meant to say sorry about the hens.

Just had a quote from the door man, £110!!! Thats discounted as we're paying cash too. OH isn't happy, but if he'd got his !!!! in gear and sorted it after he broke it then we wouldn't be in this mess! Nevermind he has to foot the bill!
I'm heading out for a few drinks, as the house is too full of noise.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Camelot (((HUG))) so sorry to hear about the chooks.:(Got some scary pills from the emergency doctor yesterday (tranquillisers for dizziness?!) and despite the harrowing list of side effects (I am not to touch them too much because I could develop blistering of the fingers, and I'm certainly not allowed to drive) they seem to be starting to do the trick as I'm already feeling a bit better. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Camelot - sorry about your hens.
Would like you to think I've been really busy this morning which is why I've not posted, but actually..... I went to the Doctors to the vampire nurse! Have cleared out the dining room and parcelled up my 4 ebay sales to be posted when I pick DSs up from school. Other than that I've sneakily watched Jeremy Kyle (!!!!), cleared and sorted out the airing cupboard (badly needed doing), cleared and cleaned the bathroom and blow dried my hair (!) Really CBA doing much today - seriously need a motivation kick up the @*se.
Will clear the wardrobe off my bed when I get back from the school run - so that OH and I can sleep in it when he gets home tonight! Puppy crate arrived for Daisy dog, as she's outgrown the cat basket (after I've put her new bed in there.) Hugs to those in need.Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
Camelot - Sorry about your hens. :grouphug:
Brighteyes - Glad your foot's feeling better.
Esmf73 - Glad I'm not the only person to call the phlebotomist 'the vampire nurse'.
I've had a bit of a CBA day here today. The most OS things I've managed were to try to learn to crochet (which could've gone better) and to convince my OH to meal plan up to Tues. I couldn't get him to do a whole week but he might come around when he sees how cheap the shopping bill will be.Now I just need to do my own meal plan for the meals we're not having together and I'm set for shopping tomorrow. I've also fired off a complaint to Student Finance England relating to a VERY long series of events that mean my Student Loan is late and getting later. Hopefully, I'll get a reply to that within the start of next week. I'm also going to do some tidying and see if I can make a start on Mt. Ironing before bed.

Camelot (((HUG))) so sorry to hear about the chooks.:(
:eek:OMG what on earth are they? I never heard of pills causing blistering of the fingers before! Glad they're helping, though.:o
Lol I know! I'm assuming that's only if you're on them for a really long time or something!? This is why you should never read the leaflets.... it's not even in a "0.00001% of people have experienced this" type of way either, the exact words are: "Do not handle the tablets more than you need to as you may developed red, blistered skin". Although reading about them it does mention that they are 'uncoated', aren't most tablets 'coated'? So maybe it would actually be the case with lots of medicines but they usually have a coating on them? clutching at straws here...
Anyway, I'm fine to pop them out of the pack and straight into my mouth without touching them - I'm much more bothered by the fact that I am not allowed to drink alcohol whilst taking them! I won't dwell on what that says about me.....0
