Barclays debit account PPI

Ah - that explains it then...I asked Barclays about the progress of my PPI claims on Friday, and they told me that some of them referred to overdrafts with ppi. I didn't realise. I wonder how much they were for? Hmmmm!

Likewise, I had Barclays additions for years, this is the first I've heard of any PPI on it. I'll give them a call tomorrow.

Hi, just seen this thread - so you can claim back Overdraft PPI, I had an additions account for about 10 years until last year when I was offered a Premier account. Is it worthwhile trying to claim this back? And is this a lengthy process as my account is closed. Your thoughts please ladies and gentleman.

I claimed beginning of July. Not had my money yet...in fact, Barclays have not contacted me since sending the letter stating how much I am owed. And my husband had his claim refused - Barclays said they could find not trace of policy...they mustn't have looked very hard as it was attached to the paperwork! :rotfl: Now they are reinvestigating, and said they will let him know in 16/12/8 weeks (they didn't delete any of the alternatives!!!).
I wonder when we'll hear anything or receive any money? I'd like it before December, as I need to redecorate before Christmas!

I have just been offered £1972 from Barclays for two of my accounts with overdraft protection, my dad,sister and mother-in-law are awaiting calculations so complain if you never asked for it. In many cases they added it to customers accounts without asking and never got signed agreements!!!

I am still waiting for my reply from Barclays but I hope to hear soon because I too put in my claim at the begining of July.
I then intend to claim for my overdraft protection as I hope I will have cleared my overdraft.
I then will change banks after 40 years with Barclays. Remembering how the girl in the bank told me I needed ppi when she knew I was covered as a teacher just "to be safe" leaves a nasty taste in my mouth. The value of ppi was nearly 30% of the loan:(:( bet she was on a hefty commission.
Then to add insult to injury they charge me £20 a month for upgrading me to an Additions Account:( Not sure how many years yet as I only have statements back to 2004. No signed agreements!

I would love to have some money before Christmas but cant see that happening.
