Thanks for your advice. Think I am just over worrying the situation.
I have been self employed for a long time and until recently things were great until I collapsed and was diagnosed with a heart condition preventing me from driving. I had to close my driving business and I am now a student studying for a new career. I think my confidence took a knock having to close my business. I feel a bit pathetic for asking now. Sure it will all be fine.
    Thanks again for your replies.

Good on you for dusting yourself down and taking up new opportunities. You'll be just fine, like most forums you'll tend to read more about the times we've make !!!! ups instead of all the times everything goes to plan! :)

Well, it's just good to feel valued. Such a different experience from companies like RE.
I always work hard to do a good job on MS assignments and have only been at it a few months.
Retail Maxim recognise the quality of the work you do for them, reward flexibility and being prepared to take jobs that nobody else wants even if its out of your area.
They've given me better and better assignments all the time culminating in me being given my first ever 3 figure assignment fee today. Not by them sending a generic email to all fieldworkers in the area but by phoning me personally and offering me the work with no pressure.

    TOP COMPANY

I like RM as well, it's a bit hit and miss when I get work from them (no special treatment lol!) but everyone I've dealt with there has been really nice.

I normally get a fair bit with them. I don't think they have many male shoppers. So if you are a bloke, get signed up with them!

The only thing that makes me laugh is when you call them. Be it 9am or 11am, they always say GOOD AFTERNOON. Perhaps it's always afternoon in Birmingham-land! LOL. Bless 'em.

I haven't seen any for a while so might have already have lost the contract, but just seen an announcement that RE's big 'clubbing' client has gone into administration.

I do like RM, but I don't seem to get any work from them! When I started, I got just about every one of their convenience stores in my area, then a few bits and pieces for some other clients in my first month. Then it died, and I've only since been contacted for urgent assignments. I had a bumper first month, and nothing since then except one assignment last month (which paid <£10). I'm not sure about their need for male shoppers, because they never seem to need me for anything :(

has been looming for past 2 years with record lows in numbers through the doors

a death a one of the venues recently that was highly publicised following a lengthy case following one in Birmingham could be a final nail in coffin to close to avoid payouts...
