Mimi will tell you a little secret. Keep your eyes peeled for the clearance shelf/trolley. I got 9 eggs for 50p today. Woohoo!
Also a great place to look for the readily consumables as it is easier to be able to say things taste stale or off. Theres nearly always sandwiches or pasties in this section.:)0 -

I was surprised that at all the stores I did, most in the morning, the staff were out with their whoopsie/reduced stickers out. Wish I worked near one, like you said, they had sandwiches with tomorrow's date on at 50p! These normally cost about £2.00 at Boots/Tesco etc.
Also, for meat eaters, check out the fridges! They had lamb/cows/chickens/pigs/elephants etc all reduced heavily. (OK, no elephants, I was just kidding:p)

On the last round of egg shops, I bought reduced to 50p cheese sandwiches in two stores. When I took them back saying the bread was dry, both stores swapped them for a full price fresh sandwich :money:
Had my daughter with me who thought it was a huge novelty eating a cheese sandwich out of a packet. Little things please little mindsHere I go again on my own....0 -

Hi everyone
I am new to this so I hope I dont say anything wrong. I joined a few ms companies and recently had an email from Retail Active to do a job which sounds really appealing. However, its been a few weeks then suddenly today I got an email saying would I be free on a certain weekend if so I would get a telephone interview next wk. Then I have to pay upfront for this weekend and will be reimbursed later.
So many questions, like are they genuine, will they pay me back and what are the chances of if I do it wrong I wont get anything back?
Sorry if this is not really appropriate place to ask this but I really want to do it but I am worried and my hubby thinks its a con.
Please can some of you more experienced give me a bit of advice?
Thanks in advance0 -

they are a legit company
call them to verify it if you or your husband has doubts about the job to check it is actually from them and not a scammer 01235 438413
i take it is to a holiday park ?
if you do it wrong, yes you may not get anything, you are being paid to perform a particular job.
If you do not feel confident in your abilities and experience, then you may wish to reconsider taking the job.
Ive taken multiple free flights all over the world and enjoyed it but understood i would not get paid I didnt do the report or do it right. They paid for the flights but in the contract they could recover the costs from me if I didnt do the job after taking the flight.
It is common to have to outlay for jobs, there is some one here who spends £1500 on glassess every so often in a month, she may not get paid for that if she doesnt do the reports properly
It is like any self employed role. You are paid to perform the required task and will no get paid if you mess up.
If youre not sure that is for you, stick to employment, where you employer has to take the costs of your mistakes rather than you.0 -

Just to clarify for that particular job, the MS company would reimburse but not pay the report fee if the report was not completed or reasonable.0 -
Thanks for your advice. Think I am just over worrying the situation.
I have been self employed for a long time and until recently things were great until I collapsed and was diagnosed with a heart condition preventing me from driving. I had to close my driving business and I am now a student studying for a new career. I think my confidence took a knock having to close my business. I feel a bit pathetic for asking now. Sure it will all be fine.
Thanks again for your replies.0
