  • I'm back from my first Mystery Shopper job.

It wasn't as horrific as I thought it would be! People kept getting in the way, so one of my photos is unreadable, but I did my best.

See what they say I guess...

a death a one of the venues recently that was highly publicised following a lengthy case following one in Birmingham could be a final nail in coffin to close to avoid payouts...

They've also been selling venues for the last 7 years, when I workedat one iirc roughly 75% of their venues were known to be available within the industry - the one I worked at was bought by its manager and local pub landlord shortly after I started working there. TBH its been along time coming I suspect they've been kept afloat by the sale of sites given the state of the industry on the whole.

I negotiated a high fee for an urgent gap burger breakfast visit a couple of weeks ago. All went well and the increased fee was showing on my assignments page.

Just looked at my assignments page and noticed that my fee for that completed job has been changed back to the standard fee!

Has this happened to anyone else?

I had a call from the 0039 number this afternoon offering ever increasing fees for the same burger joint - so glad I didn't accept.

Just been double checking my records and noticed I've not been paid for the ABAI coffee petrol stations I did at the start of the month - anyone rec'd payment for these yet? I know it states 2 to 3 weeks so should be some time fairly soon but thought that generally they're quicker than this (or am over tired and losing my few remaining marbles :D ).

I was just going to ask if anyone got paid by Bare yet... I haven't heard a tickety boo. Mind you, my RE statement on their website says they've paid me on the 25th and it's not in my bank account yet. Maybe I'll see them both by tomorrow?

I almost asked this question on here last night - they normally pay really quickly! It has only been 3 weeks since I did my job so I guess we shouldn't worry yet!

    Gap Coffee.

I agreed on the phone to do an assignment, and the bonus isn't showing on my account. Is it a) reasonable or b) sacking offence to email them through their website saying I won't do the job unless they confirm the bonus before I do the job?

Last time I queried a bonus payment (burger, not coffee), I was told that the allocator couldn't add the bonus payment themselves, but that they had to wait for a supervisor to do that. This was explained as the reason for the delay in the bonus showing on the paperwork. I still send a web enquiry when the job shows without the bonus because I think it doesn't hurt to give them a reminder of what was agreed. It probably isn't worth threatening not to do the job if the due date is imminent (if it is a week away, I would).

Due date is today. Frankly it's pretty inconvenient for me to do it at all, and it wouldn't have agreed at all without the bonus. Have taken your advice and emailed, but not told them won't do it.
