I did a burger job yesterday but accidentally entered the wrong job code so it locked me out telling me to send an 'Enquiry' message. I did this last night and received a 'your results are overdue' message this morning but still nothing addressing my question. I obviously can't fill in my results - any advice?0

I've just done a chicken eat-in and nowhere does it say on the paperwork you have to be alone. Whereas burgers state very clearly that you have to be alone. Chicken are generally a lot more relaxed, I never seem to get the floor show. Although I kind of wish I had on mine yesterday, there were chunks missing out the plaster, the toilet was disgusting with broken toilet roll/soap dispenser in there, there was graffiti on the walls in the restaurant... I thought I was going to catch something eating there. Gross. I put it all in my report, no idea if they'll pay any attention.
Where are all the gap premiums? There are millions of November jobs, as if I'm going to pick any burgers up for their measly fee though.
The last time I submitted a very honest bad report similar to the experience that you had - I was asked to send them an e-mail indicating exactly why I gave the opinions that I did. Which I did - giveing as much detail as possible. I then got a "Dear John" e-mail from them - telling me that they no longer required me for their assignments.... I was LIVID!! I am sure the branch concerned never got to see my report - makes you wonder why they bother - when all they want to recieve is good feedback!!!
I hope you have better luck than I did!!0 -

Snap. I soon as you report flithy toilets you are given the sack. They do it to everyone. The only way to ensure you stay employed is to ignore all the problems. It's a joke.0 -

Sounds like more trouble than its worth.0 -
I've noticed as soon as you give a bad report then it's your abilities that are brought into question rather than the store you've shopped.
And I totally agree with the sentiments that some of the scenarios and criteria are really daft and immediately sound alarm bells to staff. The other day I did a shop which entailed joining a queue, waiting to be served and then asking several questions. As soon as I had asked my first question the staff member knew what I was up to. She immediately looked at her mate next to her and smiled awkwardly. She went all nervous, couldn't keep eye contact, got flustered and embarrased, giggley and shy. She just knew what I was doing and it was nothing to do with me. I hadn't done anything obvious, had nothing on me to give me away, nothing.
To me it seems a lot of staff already know exactly what the scenarios are and so know who to be suspicious off. And asking for receipts in fast food joints is another stupid give away sign, it's just not done in the real World.
Scenarios should be made as natural as possible. Go in and ask for whatever you like. What does it matter what I ask, just so long as there's interaction to base my report on.
The betting shop jobs!! Everything you do in that scenario is a warning signal. It's always the same sort of bet for the same amount of money, hanging around for 15 bloody minutes, checking the toilets !!!!!!!!!
If clients want real, useable data then they seriously need to rethink what they're asking us to do.0 -

Completely agree with this and its one reason I like the GR jobs for the most part and the Abai homeware shops. Yes you have to ask questions but they are typical and they let you decide what to ask.
Just done my first round of ESA egg shopsWish I had done them before now. I was always put off by what people said about them but I liked it and now have lots of ideas for recipes with eggs! Making deserts tonight and going to attempt to make my own egg noddles tomorrow!

agree for most of the above but for burgers one of the most important things is timing so they can ensure food is preapared quickly. most people do not order without cheese, gurkin etc... so they have to specify what you order so they can assess the timing for average customers. although no pineapple on pizzas is a mystery as they are made to order (unless perhaps it makes it soggy so they might not get good marks for 'crispy').
re the receipts on burgers, they dont seem to care around here and dont act any differently when you ask. i have only had floorshows outside of norfolk and not on ms (i get receipts for work).
i have given quite a few bad burger reports and not been sacked!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Ha ha still laughing at what happened earlier to me... doing a load of egg shops quite close together this morning. At the first one, there was a guy delivering the shop some bread, thought nothing of it. At the second one, I left the store, and saw the same guy, delivering bread to that shop. Now on the third shop where I saw him, and he saw me we both looked at each other and laughed, he knew what I was up to !! ha ha ha!!!0
