  • And the week is finished! (Work wise) - all my shops done, I've only got one next week booked. A gapburger breakfast at a ridiculous premium, mwahhahaha. And that's all for now!

How's everyone's next week looking? I'm doing well for my November pay-day target... hoping for one or do silly gap premiums at the end of the month to bump it up :)

    Hi,
I was wondering whether anyone here shops for "Service Scan". I've seen them mentioned on this forum before, but they aren't listed on the first page - so does this mean they aren't reputable or is there another reason they aren't listed?
    Hope someone can help!

Good company. Super friendly staff. I do one visit every 6 months, it's like an uber posh fine dine. Doubt you will get regular work from them, but I enjoy working for them and would recommend them.

I do it for my council and get paid nothing!!!! It's all voluntary here.

Girlie, that's too bad. I normally do poll clerk work and they were begging me to do my area. Unfortunately, I'm not one for knocking on people's doors in this weather so said no. I think it's like £1.30 per house where you get a signature, and 75p per house where you drop the form through. Quite a good earner I guess but in this weather, you might end up freezing your booty!

WOW!! That is good money! I am going to see if I'm being taken for a ride :(
I can't imagine it though. One of my clients is my MP and I do it for her so I can drop my own leaflets off at the same time.

Just out of interest, why do you do it without pay? No offence, but have you nothing better to do? Have you no more Peter Andre music videos to shimmy about in?

I will forward you the email I got from work when I am next in. No one in my area would do it if there was no pay. They have to have an incentive. Young lady from work is doing it next week and she said she will make about £350 after tax which will be perfect for her Xmas shopping.

Pizza you can bring people, Chicken and burgers are solo visits.

Unless it's changed in the last few weeks, Chicken jobs you don't have to be alone.
I've asked this several times when speaking to Gap (as we all know sometimes one person can say one thing, and someone else can say the opposite sometimes!!) but I've always been told it's fine to take someone else with you, so long as you don't order anything together.

I've had my OH come with me a couple of times, and he's just ordered separately, and a few times I've taken my little boy. This was why I first had it confirmed, as when they phoned to ask me to do one, I'd said No as I would have my son with me so wouldn't be able to go in alone, and they said it was fine for chicken, it was only burgers where you have to do the whole thing entirely alone!!

i had a query once with a burger job where it was mega mega busy, and after I'd eventually managed to linger for long enough to grab a table as someone left, it was a table for 4, and this little old couple with ice creams asked if they minded if they sat on the other side of the table. I said Of course I didn't mind, as I couldn't have said, No, P!ss off, and taken up the whole table on my own, when there was people standing up eating, or against the walls as it was so busy, and have these poor oldies with no where to go!!
The email from Gap stated that the CCTV showed I had others join me at the table, and reminding me that I could not have 'my friends' accompany me at any point during the assignment!! :D

  • ^^ gapburgers are such prats sometimes!

I've just done a chicken eat-in and nowhere does it say on the paperwork you have to be alone. Whereas burgers state very clearly that you have to be alone. Chicken are generally a lot more relaxed, I never seem to get the floor show. Although I kind of wish I had on mine yesterday, there were chunks missing out the plaster, the toilet was disgusting with broken toilet roll/soap dispenser in there, there was graffiti on the walls in the restaurant... I thought I was going to catch something eating there. Gross. I put it all in my report, no idea if they'll pay any attention.

Where are all the gap premiums? There are millions of November jobs, as if I'm going to pick any burgers up for their measly fee though.
  • You know the RE jobs where you have to get a MOS to write down the details of the product and then the store phone number and their name. Well, seriously, how 20th century is that carry on. I always get them to do it but it's just plainly obvious what's going on. And it's a bit daft.
