I utterly failed to get served in an electrical retailer this afternoon. Eventually left, as it was goingto make me miss my other visits. I have manflu (despite not being a man) and it's making everything take forever. Blah!
    Poor pet :(

Just had a look at the brief for fizzy pop. Seems like bog standard info collection for bog standard fee. Shouldn't really take more than 15 in store smaller the better. Less stuff to count! I do have 4 in a 1 mile stretch of road and another 2 in a precinct. Anyone who has them allocated would be interested to hear what you think.
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

not seen the full brief, but given What you are checking, do you think there is a chance some may be a little hostile towards you checking ?

I had a similar with an alcohol package check previously and they were convinced i was there checking if they were selling fake goods lol

wasnt it Secret Shopping Services that was the issue not service scan ?

or are they the same ?

Agreed it was Secret Shopping Services I think (never worked for Service Scan so can't comment on them).
  • Agreed, I think I'd rather deal with surly staff at a fair-paying company than nice staff at the likes of RE and its' ilk. Although the nicer staff do tend to be at the higher-paying companies, in my experience.

GfK, Grassroots and Abai staff are all really friendly and professional. ESA, GAP and RE are to be found lacking IMHO.
  • Consider Service Scan now removed from the front page! Deary me, hope those of you still waiting for payment get it sorted in the end :(

Could you please confirm which company you are referring to as like others, I have always found Service Scan to be one of the best in the business.

I've never managed to work for Service Scan but they do send me texts. I once sent them a personal text meant for someone else and I got the lovely reply, saying I'd made a mistake and just to let me know so I could resend it.

On another note, I shopped a place for Retail Rapport and it was shut permanently but they are still paying full fee and mileage. Lovely company to work for and the only written report people I work for now as they allocate by nice phonecall and are very reasonable.

Just accepted a shop from AmberArch (as there was no way to see what you actually had to do) but then when I read the brief it is quite messily written for example it said to get a refund for an item but elsewhere it says not to buy it in the first place... I've emailed to ask to be un-assigned.
Do you think this will have a bearing on me getting work from them in the future?

Your mistake was signing up to this bunch of rip-off merchants. They are the only company I know of with fees worse than RE. Do yourself a favour and walk away from them now.

But no, it shouldn't affect it.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

    not likely

it may stop you taking their assignments though... most here have,...
