Noticed today that on the Tesco Staff Performance (MS visits) notice board they put up photos of the mystery shoppers lol

Saw some shocking results listed also lol

this is frustrating, this ruins the whole effort of "mystery" shopping if they know who is the shopper.

Oh, yes. I used to do this all the time anyway, before MS, one of the big reasons I started was that I always notice available members of staff who aren't serving/managing a queue, or staff members having a personal conversation at the till instead of serving me, sometimes I wish I was 'on duty' or find myself thinking 'I'll get you in my MS report-ohhh. No report. I'll just grumble to myself then...'

Couple of times I've had this happen. Have you ever considered writing to the company outside of a report or does it feel too much like giving them a report for free to you too?

ETA - Why has the word pr-i-ck been blocked?! It's a perfectly valid, clean expression to say 'their ears might pr-i-ck up' ... tskkkkk!

Its being blocked everywhere these days as it gets used in...less savoury ways ;)

  • RE reports do my head in. I've read others saying the same thing but for Pete's sake:

Was the store clean and tidy?: Yes/No

Then you have to leave a comment even though it's a closed question.

Please comment about the general cleanliness of the store:

Errr, I sorta just did that but OK I'll word it slightly differently...

Were all areas of the store tidy and clean?:

    !!!!!!?

Shame as my 6 ex batts have very firmly decided not to pop a single egg in the last month.

Poultry spice, poultry tonic and some cod liver oil. They are probably going to moult or are moulting, one of my hens looks like I keep her in a cage and a month ago, she was looking glorious, despite being 5. ;)

Oh, I'm right with you there. I generally repeat the question using two different adjectives than the ones they used. Or adding a 'satisfactory' in somewhere.

NIM - I have complained to cinema and theatre staff and ended up with freebies before now, that always makes me happy! Never done it in a clothes store though, not sure what they'd make of that?

Just copy and paste the question text into the box and tweak it into a statement.

I find cinema staff some of the worst on the planet tbh. Generally get good responses from supermarket chains. Must try in clothes stores but I think its going to depend on where you go.

Lol! I guess Martin is just being careful!! :money:

Made me laugh yesterday I was reading about misprices in Tesco on the Grabbit board, and people say which branches they have tried where it has or hasn't worked. Someone was mentioning Tesco in Sc.unthorpe and it had 'bleeped out' the middle so it was S!!!!horpe :D !!

I've written to the manager on a couple of occasions due to poor quality screenings. This just prompted me that I needed to write another letter! I do it very politely and explain I really regret having to write and I never ask for any reimbursement, I just indicate I would like a response ('I look forward to hearing from you soon') and more often than not I get a free cinema voucher. I hope I didn't stress them out or make their day negative or anything, but I don't think it's right that we should be overly 'British' and not say a word when things aren't up to scratch... we've paid for the film after all!

Good thing about being Irish, not a british gene in my body so I'm not afraid to make some ripples in the pond to get things sorted out. I have left restaurnats without paying the service was so poor, staff / managers tend to agree with me when they try to stop me.

ETA not that there is anything wrong with being British mind. Just in case anyone takes that the wrong way.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
