Bloomin gyp have worked out the best time to call me when I won't have time to negotiate with them for fees or bribe jobs :(

They've called me two weeks in a row at the same time - which happens to coincide with the end of my break at work, on the up side I guess I have two jobs with slightly better than normal fees (although given more time I would have liked to try for better ones) that I should have been time barred for to do this week.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Signed the FIL up for the Egg company last week, and DW, his DD has signed him up for 20 egg shops. He was recently made redundant and was looking for some work...but he's now got 12 to do next saturday. Anyone think the company might move some of them to earlier dates or will I tell him to drop some?
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

  • I am amazed - It looks like GAP has re-activated my account again! Has this ever happened to anyone?

They sent me a "Dear John" mail after I submitted a very honest report - of an awful assignment that I completed for them in a chicken resturant. To be honest I was very !!!!ed off at the time as I had been working for them a while and I was always very accommodating when they called and asked me to do urgent short notice assignments.

Anyway - I had sent them a good few mails recently as I have had no payment since July - to be honest I did not expect every to hear back from them - But logged on to my e-mail account yesterday to see that they actually replied and apologised for their error - and that my payment of £100+ will be in my bank on the next pay date. I was delighted!! I logged back into the account and seen that it was "Active" again and I was able to view "Available Assignments" - I did not accept any - as did not want to draw attention to myself - thought I would leave it a few weeks - to see if all ok!

Has this happened to anyone before - they had their account re-activated and have continued completing assignments for them?

    Thanks!

That's disgusting. If I found my photo was up I would complain most vehemently.

Oh pants. Here I was thinking I was special because the store manager always says "Hello Sir, how are you?" whenever I go to my store. Did find it strange that he would single me out even if I was shopping with others! They probably have a huge file in the staff room with reports and photos etc!!!

marvellousaunt have you noticed you're never off duty now aswell?

Like when you go shopping as a civvy you still look for things out of place. You observe staff with customers, and you are always looking at name badges. I'm always asking for receipts aswell these days.

Oh, yes. I used to do this all the time anyway, before MS, one of the big reasons I started was that I always notice available members of staff who aren't serving/managing a queue, or staff members having a personal conversation at the till instead of serving me, sometimes I wish I was 'on duty' or find myself thinking 'I'll get you in my MS report-ohhh. No report. I'll just grumble to myself then...'

Re: Gap - a couple of times they've called me at work, where it's no problem to take calls, I can say 'Yes', 'Where would that be?' 'Would Tuesday be ok?' 'What time?' and nobody would bat an eyelid... but if I start saying 'Do you have any petrol or supermarkets?' 'Is there an additional premium?' ... I think people's ears might !!!!! up!!!

ETA - Why has the word pr-i-ck been blocked?! It's a perfectly valid, clean expression to say 'their ears might pr-i-ck up' ... tskkkkk!
