GFK certainly have some weird and wonderful places to visit currently. I hope nobody took them up on there offer of work on Christmas Day when these jobs were first released.

I did think about taking the one at my local school on Christmas day and the one at a local factory but decided not to in the end
  • Grrr - one of my jobs on RE seems to have disappeared :( I completed the assingment successfully, filled out the report, all was fine - but I just checked to see if I could find somewhere to nab for dinner tonight and all records of it seem to have vanished! It isn't in my pending payments and my little calendar thing isn't highlighted to say I ever did anything on that date. Wouldn't mind too much but the cost wasn't low and it wasn't somewhere I would normally go.

It might just be that they are currently proof reading it. I've had jobs disappear before and then re-appear once read.

The GFK food one near me is a B&B - I am tempted, but I can't think how I would explain going in to check if it's not in the window.

I noticed one of those jobs near to me had been picked up and dropped, and that was a B&B too - I reckon the info wasn't in the window and the person couldn't think of a good enough reason to go in! :D If they extend it by one more day (and it's still available, obviously!), it's geographically reasonable for me to do it on the way to my night class, but I'm also struggling to think of a reason to go in without looking like a total idiot/weirdo...

Say you've got elderly relatives coming from the US at end of Jan to attend a family wedding and you are just checking out a few B&Bs for them.

yes youre right, but i prefer "professional actor" ;)

had to "act" another role today too when approached on a covert competitor job by the store manager... pulled it off though thankfully

any thoughts on me getting away with adding a 2.5% handing charge to invoices for companies that pay me by cheque, no charge for BACS payments obviously ?

I incur petrol and parking costs, not to mention my time going to cash these...
and its quite common for other businesses to do it ?

Ooh, I like the sound of that, I could try out my American accent! It might also account for any perculiar behaviour/actions I have to portray too :D
  • I've noticed a lot of scenarios come up recently where I have to be incredibly specific - say asking specific questions about a product, etc etc. These seem a bit awkward to me so I've never done them, but does this not generally make it really obvious to the staff what you're doing?
