  • Did my first lot of proper work for Bare in the first week of November. God knows when I will be paid for that and I can't even estimate the circuits done in December. Trevor and B.U.N have a really valid point. It shows that the contract between a shopper and company is worth bu**er all. You wait like good little children now, we'll pay you when we're ready.

Like others I don't see how i could make this financially viable when I have to wait 2 calendar months for payment.

  • I'm completely new to this. I did some work for RE and was told it went through on the 22nd. It still isn't in my account. I'm giving a couple of extra days because of the holidays etc, but at what point should I start worrying that something has gone wrong?

RE pay on the 10th and 25th, so the money should show up on Friday - usually takes 5 working days ish for it to arrive in the bank accounts, the time scale isn't altered by the fact that the 25th was a Sunday so it left them on Friday - although given the B.H it might be Monday/Tuesday when we get the cash.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Ditto all of that. It really is not worth the time and effort to be chasing around for money that any decent set up would long since have paid up.
I know Helion will doubtless read and comment on my next statement and try to tell me what a great relationship they have with shoppers and how valued we all are but here's the fact of it:
Doing a job on 1st of November and receiving payment on 28th December is 58 days and is unnacceptable with the rapid payment methods available these days. In that time the £/€ rate went from 1:1.122 to 1:1.198. That makes a huge difference to a business running on tight margins.
If I order B2B supplies it is normally on a 30 day pro forma basis and I am expected to have made that payment by then. 30 days is the norm in retail and other supply industries and should be so in the MS payment system too, wherever the company is based.

Can't see Helion replying as it looks like they have been booted off again as their posts seem to have been removed. I really don't understand why they dont go down the official route.

I had been told payments were being issued on the 26th, but then had a email from a manager to say this....

Normally the shops are being paid the end of each month(normally every last week of the month), so last month was an exception, but this month it should be okay again. Unless something changes in the system (which will be communicated), the payments should proceed the way they are happening now.

This was what he had said when he advised me they were making payments yesterday (28th Dec) ......
