With the amount of bank jobs around for GFK nobody needs to wait more than a few days for a free trip to the bank.

depends who you bank with lol

there are only 2 branches for my account (which was opened on line) and both out of my normal area.. where there are not normally other jobs

i guess im just trying to move to a cheque free job, and not have to be more selective with companies i work with

Reimbursement means you walk away with something tangible for your efforts there and then. With Bare that is generally a piece of jewellery that is very saleable, put it on eBay and you will get almost your full value back within a week. You are therefore paid very quickly for your visit and when the money does come through from Bare you have a little bonus. Doing non reimbursement visits you stand the cost of the travel etc. for up to 3 months. Of course if you want the piece of jewellery then you will wait 3 months for it but at least it has cost you very little. Simples really

Really does depend on what you buy. I normally go for the bracelet but they no longer get bids that are anywhere near the face value, you are normally talking a loss of £10 - £15 after eBay and PayPal fees. I've sold quite a few, but I won't be bothering doing these anymore. It doesn't really help when just about every shopper for BARE puts their bracelets on at the same time. Also, the exchange rate means you have no idea how much you will be getting back from BARE in £ or when hahaha.

I used to love BARE when they did the posh clothes shop (like petrol) and it had a very decent reimbursement. Since they lost that contract, I don't really bother with BARE much. Having said that, the phone call reports are uber easy to do!

    HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL.
  • Happy New Year to all my fellow mystery shoppers.

Many thanks for your guidance and alerts during 2011 and I hope that 2012 is a good year for us all!

  • Happy New Year everyone!
Not wanting to directly copy mamashaz above, but thanks to all that have posted advice and guidance, especially those pieces which have directly benefitted me :D and thanks again for the alerts, I've picked up loads of jobs on here that I may otherwise have missed! I only hope I have also contributed my fair share.

I think MS has actually played a big part in how I will remember this year; it's been great having some more cash, and I've also learnt how much hard work I am capable of doing, and how little sleep I can actually get by on! I've had two other jobs on the side from MS; one is now gone and I don't think it will be too far into 2012 before I am free of the other, so think any money I have left over from Christmas and the sales may be worth investing in a camera so I can discover the world of video MS. Thanks in advance to anyone who will help me in that field! (Jen, I'm especially looking at you!) :D

    Happy New Year everyone :j

Thanks to everyone who has posted on the thread and made it such a valuable resource. All the posts are very much appreciated.

Here's to everyone having a prosperous 2012
Here I go again on my own....
  • Happy New Year and a thank you from me too. It's nice to have an MS friend around, particularly when you are desperately trying to finish reports in the evening and something goes wrong. It's nice to know someone somewhere has already had the same problem and it's not just you going bonkers. Thanks for keeping me smiling. (Typical, I've lost the smiles. :) )

Happy New Year to all. I do really love feeling like part of an MS community - it's such an odd job in many ways, that it's really great not to feel alone.
