I've got a busy weekend and then a few jobs next week. Not too bad as I had quite a busy week this week.

I love the edig net chats - don't have to leave your house, just sit and give your opinions all for a pretty good fee!

I noticed that the GFK fee for a "Swedish" home company is going up from this morning. However it would have to be a 3 figure sum before I would venture anywhere near it!

    Really?
I just looked at one of these and was quite taken aback by the amount of enqury for the money. Wonder if I am being offered a lower rate as a newbie..

gastromix, it is still a terrible rate for the amount of work involved and it has not even gone up a tenner!
No Matter what you do there will be critics.
  • Rather pleased, I had to release two ESA phone shops yesterday that I was going to do in my lunchhour as I left work early cause of the gales. Yesterday was the last of the initial dates to do them in.

They were immediately back on with today as a date that I could not do as i was away all day but no one picked them up so I have got them scheduled in for Monday.

Yes I know the pay is rubbish etc for them but the two shops are opposite each other in the shopping centre a few minutes from my work so fill a lunchbreak.
  • Currently in a pub in Stansted Airport (needed a pint after dealing with the horrendous security staff!) and reading the subtitles on Sky News - they're terrible! So I was quite amused to see that they're provided by a company called IMS! I'm going to keep reading and see if they throw in an unsolicited insult to the audience for good measure :D

Sorry, tad off-topic but a couple of you have mentioned focus groups...I've done a search and signed up to a few but if anyone has any pointers, particularly for Scotland, I'd be grateful. TIA.

Well I'm just back in from my rounds and I can't believe how easy it was. I was expecting today to be a right royal nightmare, but the town was much quieter than normal and i whizzed round, parking wherever I wanted, it was brilliant. Perhaps everyone else had the same thought and stayed in. Or perhaps this double dip recession and Euro mess has had a huge effect on people this year.
I saw some huge discounts in a lot of stores too. Looks like this year is going to be a bad one for retailers.

I noticed it was really quiet today.

I had some things to post and the PO in the town I was in is notorious for huge queues, but even there we didn't have to wait long until we were served.
Here I go again on my own....
