Hi guys
How's everyone's weekend going? Busy or quiet?
You all know who I am, but I'm posting anonymously incase of any comeback or hassle.
I've set up a facebook page for us to chat on and share experiences. Generally to just have a bit of craic and to give each other help and advice. My ultimate plan is to have enough members to have a little bit of clout and leverage when mystery shopping companies start messing us about with non-payments and ridiculous fees, but to also give credit where it's due to the companies that always pay on time and offer us decent assignments.
Next time you're on facebook check out 'mystery shoppers united'. I've only started it today so there's not much there, but leave a message and lets get the ball rolling.
Love y'all.0 -

BUN, you've got a point, it's just the same really. But it does no harm have an extra platform to express views and have a chat or debate. And most people are on FB at some point during the day, so while you're there you can just have a quick catch up with everyone.
Plus, a good few of the companies we work for have their own fb pages and check regularly what people are talking about. If we can get them to become aware that we have a fb page too, then hopefully they'll become aware of our views, likes and dislikes (and how it makes us feel). And if certain companies realise we're all talking about them, and for the wrong reasons, it might prompt them into a discussion, or endeavour to improve there practices and treat us more fairly and respectfully.
You don't have to join, but the more of us there are, the more influence we have in improving practices. Or something like that anywayAnd you are the type of person we need, experienced, knowledgeable, helpful, and who enjoy a debate.
And I wish to remain anonymous incase something gets misinterpreted, or blown out of proportion in a discussion and our employers somehow find out who I am and ban me. (I hope that makes sense).0 -

How is this one different? or is it just another one?0 -

Do you not get that by creating another platform that people need to check you simply dilute the value of this “one common” place where people can do exactly as you are suggesting they do on FB? There is no benefit that I can see in have multiple platforms, all you do is create repetition? You also remove the ability to “alert” which IMHO is one of the most valuable elements of the MSE set up.
You assume that just because the companies have FB pages 1) they will check yours and 2) they don’t already monitor what’s said on here. If you believe that by getting a few people together on FB saying how crap fees etc. are will make a difference then you a very naive.
You expect people to join the group, using their own FB profile,) which will clearly identify them yet you hide behind a pseudonym….!!!!!
It is precisely because I am experienced, professional and pretty knowledgeable that I for one will stay well clear of this and suggest other do the same.0 -
Am intrigued to know which of the regular posters this is!!
Whilst we appreciate that you are trying, I must say that I completely agree with BUN's comment above, particularly the fact that you have created a whole separate Facebook profile for this, yet you want us to join under our own names and actual profiles. Or should we all create a separate Facebook profile for this purpose too, thus making the fact that most of us are on there at some point during the day irrelevant as we'd have to login under our MS profile. We can just login to MSE, where we are unidentifiable to companies.
I also don't want my all friends on Facebook to all know that I do MSing, and it would show up somewhere that I'm in the group etc.
It honestly just is pointless. Sorry!Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
The people that use FB to have MS groups have them as a closed group, so that privacy is maintained. I don't want my identity posted in an open group. Sorry, good idea but needs a bit of tweaking.0
