I emailed TNS and this is the reponse I got for the above:
"With regards to your Dictaphone, please send this by recorded delivery. We will reimburse you for the cost of this at the same time as your visit fee".
So don't send it just normal post, they specified Recorded.
Oooo... thanks!0 -

Hi everyone,
I'm about to do my first mystery shop tonight - a checkout audit for a supermarket.
I'm a little bit nervous though about my briefing, I know i'm obviously supposed to stay undercover, but how am I supposed to carry out the audit if no one is allowed to see my briefing form? Do I take in my own paper and note things down or just try to keep the form out of view (the brief says to leave it in a car or in my bag :S)?
The supermarket i'm assessing is massive so i don't think i'd just be able to remember everything off the top of my head? :eek:0 -

Record it on your mobile as you walk along the tills. "Till 1, 2 people waiting, till 2n unmanned, till 3 one person waiting, till 4 closed, till 5 two people waiting etc"0 -

Ah it's the assessment form that I couldn't find but i've got it now. Now I realise that that is obviously separate to the brief. thank-you0 -
