In response to MsKittens last update. Lets hope they stay there for a very VERY long time.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

I had a job emailed to me yesterday for today, which was very short notice, so I had to refuse it! Damn!

I'm gonna give it a week more before I send it back. They normally have some shops that need re-doing and if there are any near me, I'm picking them up!

  • Interesting to read the above comments about how MSing works for people in terms of being an income source. I started doing surveys probably twenty years ago with GR as an occasional bonus, but following a change in circumstances have recently discovered some of the other companies in the field and have tried to increase my visits. I realise that I am never going to be able to make a fortune doing m/s but wondered if anyone has an opinion on how feasible it would be to earn say £40 per day, working in central London? Feel free to pm me if anyone wants to keep it confidential.
Furthermore, any tips on the use of notebooks/ipads etc? They seem like a good idea, but is the advantage primarily in being able to record at the time rather than recalling info 6 hours later? Is it not troublesome trying to get a consistant signal?

I would think that would be very doable. I earn more then that, when I work, and I'm in an area without much work. Obviously only take the cheap jobs as fillers though.

Just out of interest, is the cats shop on ABAI really as scary as it reads? Will it take an hour or three to do?

They are not scary, prior preparation is necessary to have a clear idea what you are going to go for off the list. Remember that some of the choices given are big to be lugging around.

The timing points have a feint whiff of gap buger about them but generally because the process is slower, especially this time of year, it's not so manic. Because of the return aspect of the assignment they are best done if you have other work in the area to make productive use of the "return period" but you know all that anyway you old pro you!

I don't mind doing them, the report is fine. :)
