    Hubby and I did our first restaurant visits for RE last week. Depsite giving full, comprehensive and exhaustive details of our servers including their names, height, accents, hair colour, style, etc..... they still come back and ask you to repeat yourself.

    Are their Proof Readers always such hard work? :p

    Yes. Nuff said :rotfl::rotfl:
    This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

  • I received an email from GR today to alert me of an assignment currently available in my area while I was out MSing. Quickly strolled into the next phone shop, played with their display tablet, logged in and accepted the assignment. I felt so clever. I can't get the GR website on my BB, can anyone else? These posh supermarkets go so quick, I had to act fast! :j

    I like that idea :rotfl::rotfl:
    TBH I think I'm just getting fussier about what I'll do, and I don't like eggs so that rules a lot of jobs out :eek:
    Don't worry, I'll do all the eggs in our patch! Boredupnorth must have got them all though last round as I only ended up with one, I'd done all the others too recently. :(

    I did 20 but travelled a lot for them

    Has the limit of 10 only been lifted then? Or are you operating as 2 different shoppers?

    Dunno about a limit i took 12 to start with then picked the rest up as drop outs. Its actually 21 I forgot I have another tomorrow
  • What Nottingham? Top of Vic Centre is £1.50 for an hour :) Cheaper than £1.70 bus fare!

    Valid point. But if your doing a job in Market Square or Broadmarsh you will have a sweat on by the time u get back! I also work full time in West Bridgford so city ones are hard work. Remember when it was 50p to park for half an hour? thems were the days....
    Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk
    I'm a woman's man: no time to talk

    Does anyone else here know if the ESA egg shop limit of only 10 stores per shopper
    Per round has been lifted?

    What do people think about this- Did a RE pub job today (1 off list A 1 off B) I ordered a Budvar and a coke, and a burger. The MOS said that my burger came with a drink, and I said not to worry about it. However he insisted that I ordered another drink to save me money. I told him I didn't want another one, so he said, "I'll put it through as a Budvar and a Carling, but pour you a coke instead of a Carling." Sooo, my receipt says the burger, a carling and a budvar. I took a sneeky photo of the receipt with the 2 correct drinks which I received. But I know the RE proofreaders can be a bit strange sometimes, so do you think this will be ok? Any advice on what to put in the notes?

    RE proofreaders are on another planet and make you average Yank look clever. Good luck getting this one through without a number of mind boggling queries.

    Go over the proof readers head before they come to you, ring the contact, tell him / her what happened and ask that it be passed on to the account manager and after the first proof reading query on it comes in call and ask for the acc manager again. Make waves higher up and the proof readers cop on, I think they live in a room with no windows so the sun light wont get them and they fear the acc managers coming to speak to them as it lets the light in

    Thanks for all the advice, I emailed the contact and asked that it be passed to the account manager. I put notes in my report about what happened so hopefully it will be OK. Just waiting for that email now saying, "please upload a receipt detailing the correct drinks" grrr. Fingers crossed!

    :eek: Shock, horror, just an update, went through with no queries, paymet due 25/11/11. Shocked!
    Maybe RE proofreaders are getting better? :rotfl:
  • I'm surprised at the RE hatred! I've clocked up £100 from them this month, some nice airport meals and cocktails before flying out on holiday, got the reports down to a fine art (10 mins max) with not a single proofreading query.

    I've given up on Gyp though.
