If you're just talking about the cinema jobs here - they are only ever done at the weekend (inc Friday) at the end of the month. There are no others. as far as I know anyway.
With the ones you were offered but didn't get, it may have been that maybe the person who usually does them said they could do them, so got allocated them again and you got the one that is now 'yours'.
Loool what a game this is.
I thought there were week visits going on as well, prob my imagination, havent been with them long, so will see what else they have to offer, have done about 5 jobs for them so far.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

I know that Gap aren't always great, but tried doing a stamp shop last week and it was closed for lunch from 1:30 until 2:30 (got there at 1:45) and wasn't going to be able to go back. Emailed them to say about it and as I (stupidly) didn't take a photo thought that would be it. But they emailed today to say I would get paid the normal fee for it which is nice (obviously don't get any reimbursement part but nothing to be reimbursed). So for once am happy with Gap
Sorry to rain on your parade, but I had two closed shops on the stamps 3 and 2 months ago. Both sites had closed down completely.
I got the same positive emails, but still not paid for either of them. Will keep chasing them, but don't count your chickens with Gap.0 -
Re the Archos 101 (to go back to the tablet conversation!)
Can the devices connect to 3G dongles via USB? Not for the moment. However, you can connect your phone for tethering via the USB host port (optional USB host cable required).
That's direct from the Archos website. Might look at upgrading my data plan for my new BlackBerry in February and look into tethering... at only £199 it's a lot cheaper than other tablets...
Remembering boredupnorth's wise words that cheap isn't always good tho!0 -

To be honest seeing as the fee wasn't the largest one ever (but was fine as was doing several shops that day) I'm not too bothered if I don't get it, but at least they didn't tell me I had no hope. Will check and see what comes in December though (wonder if they pay before or after Christmas)0 -

I did four stamps on one day in September. One shop was closed for the day (for computer system upgrade, so I was told by a passing postie) and another one was cancelled by Gyp retrospectively (one of those "scheduled in error" malarky things). I was paid the full fees and reimbursements for both jobs: the amounts were added on to one of the other completed jobs. That said, Gyp haven't paid the full premiums for two of the other jobs I did in September and I am still chasing these.0 -

Just an update on this device, i was out in town yesterday and spotted one in HMV on sale at £129! i had a play around with it and bought one for my 17yr old who has been after a tablet since i got my iPad. First impressions are it looks decent for the money and seems to do everything you want it to. I have yet to have a proper play around with it but can’t see many obvious problems. Seems to be a good entry level device, if you are able to tether then at this price I can’t see why loads of people would not buy one.
The store said there were very limited stocks around the country and its full price on the website.
Tesco also sell it for £150 but its out of stock on direct! And Play do it for £175, says it’s in stock there but with play you never really know.

Apparently some Staples stores will price match and take off 10% of the difference, if there is a HMV with stock within a 10 mile radius. Brings it down to around £117. I think this is the 7" tablet though isn't it? Its a very good price, but I think i'm going to go for the iPad.0 -

I don't know about the one Boredupnorth was talking about on sale - but the Archos 101 is a 10.1 inch. I'm really in two minds about it... £129 is a bit of a bargain! Tethering apparently works well.
I've just read a lot of reviews about it being glitchy and freezing, and being slow with the processing speed and whatnot... I know that'd frustrate me.
Plus, to be honest, I have my eye on the Kindle Fire! I basically want an e-Reader that can go online and do mystery shop reports, so it could be just the job... decision decisions!0 -
Can anyone help clear this up for me? I live in the North West and I am struggling to get many jobs. Does anyone know if there are certain companies that would be better for me than some others? Any insight is appreciated,
ThanksNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0
