Can anyone help with TERN payments? I see they now pay by BACS rather than cheque, but do they have specific payment dates?
I've seen (via a search) that there were comments saying that they generally paid within 2 weeks of the job, is this right?0 -

My mistake, i've been reading so much about tablets lately that they are all merging into one! The 7" version is £99 at Carphone Warehouse. 10" version £129 at HMV (or possibly £117 with price match at Staples).
Looks an excellent price, but I need something with 3G as can't rely on my phone for tethering.0 -

I think I have generally been paid within two weeks - once when I hadn't been I got in touch and there had been a mistake and my one was missed off the pay run. It was paid very soon after that. How long is it that you did the job for them?0 -
Anyone doing a phone job for TNS through the sassie website rather rhan the other one? I feel I'm possibly missing sonerhibg but can't see a questionnaire there and when you go into the job details it mentions attaching a document but doesbt mention where you get it from. Job isn't for a couple of weeks, but like to know wjat im doibg! Am wondering of its like the other phone jobs I've done with a spreadsheet to fill in so maybe it will get emailed separately.
Last time I did these, they were on VAS. Have now moved to SASSIE. Strange.
They emailed the script and the questionnaire to email addresses when it was with VAS. They might do this again this time? Unsure.0 -

I only did the jobs last week for them, so no panic. I like to log roughly when payment is due for each job and then put a line through it when I receive payment so that I can keep track of things. I had a quiet morning so was catching up on paperwork trying to see what payments I'm likely to see before Christmas0 -

If you have just been to a store to do an assignment last week. And this week, there is a new and different assignment to conduct in the same store. The assignments are conducts for 2 different companies and both involve talking to the sales assistant and observe how they sell the product in that specific store. In both cases, I will not purchase anything. What do you guys think, my inclination is that I shouldn't go for it but I have read the brief and technically I am allowed to do it. What do you guys think? To go for it or no?0

I just have to tell you about a business card that I picked up in our work canteen this morning.
The front of it has
“Restaurant Associate have a free bite on us in return for your feedback”
I picked one up thinking it was going to be an online survey re the canteen or something but it is actually a recruitment drive from Retail Eyes with the back saying
“No Catches, No Gimmicks. We want to make sure you receive the very best service and we’re looking for people just like you to visit our restaurant and tell us about your experience. We will send you exclusive invites to evaluate the service you receive and all you have to do is rate your experience by completing a straightforward online questionnaire. AND the best bit…. Not only will you get a free lunch but we will pay you for your feedback too!!”
The website they give seems to be the standard RE signup page.
I think that anyone who signs up thinking they are going to be doing a “straightforward questionnaire” re our work canteen is going to be very disappointed!!!0 -

I have a feeling there could be ethical issues with that business card. It holds the business out to be somewhat different to what it actually is...interesting.This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
I bet it also doesn't explain the need to register as self employed????I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0
