If they're being funny and not going to pay you they quite often change the status to "rejected/cancelled" on your my assignments page. So if they still say approved then you should be fine. The only time I haven't been paid for a job they queried it with me, I clarified and never heard any more. It wasn't til I checked the board that I saw they weren't paying me. Fortunately it was petrol local to me so it wasn't a huge loss. My fault though so I didn't argue it with them. I knew there wasn't a toilet, but I should have still asked the staff member.

In regards to people ballsing up jobs... call me a snob, but I've always wondered how bad someone's had to have done for a reshop/revisit to be required!

I did a revisit once. All I was told by the MS company was that the report wasn't suitable to send to the client.

When they sent me the form to fill in, they hadn't cleared out the previous answers and the standard of written English was very poor. It had no punctuation or capital letters, was written in note style rather than structured sentences and some of it just didn't make any sense at all :o

I also helped out with some proof reading once, and revisits had to be done when people hadn't read the brief and asked the wrong questions etc., or if it was clear the report was made up.
Here I go again on my own....

My neighbour works for a pawnshop and she was telling me about a mystery shopper her store had. (Obviously I don't shop that branch but did shop the company so am familar with the brief.)

The chap walked in -TOLD them he was a mystery shopper-kept referring to the brief during the visit and refused to show ID or have his photo taken for the ID process. I let the agency know as it was pretty ridiculous -and they didn't want to know. I don't bother doing jobs for them anymore. Talk about unprofessional all around. The staff shop couldn't believe their company was paying for such a mess.

Anyone seen the new style ESA homepage, coloured coverage map and fee info showing without clicking on individual jobs?

Not MS related, so apologies in advance. DAILY STAR are giving away free food again if you purchase the paper this week. You just need to cut the coupon out and take it to GREGGS. Check it out, cheap food. I think the paper costs about 20p (not entirely sure!). Think it's a free PASTY today. Sandwich tomorrow, so a bargain. HTH someone.

Also, does anyone know how long it takes for RE to approve the fee for a visit where the shop was closed/has moved elsewhere? It's almost a month now since I visited, and the not very clever allocator still not approved my fee. She keeps saying she will but it's not happened yet. I've emailed her about 20 times now!!!
  • Don't know if anyone has seen this, but on the news it also said shopping malls were now all considering a 'no photos' policy.
Looks like we'll all need a good solicitor
