    Probably true but there's a lot of it about!

    We have had threads before with NI/ Republic confusion including one where a PO wanted to charge international rates to a BT post code.

    I live in Northern Ireland and more than once sellers have tried to charge international postage .I point out geography wasn't there strong point at school and tell them to fook off .:rotfl:

    Santander think Northern Ireland is abroad - they will block your credit card if you don't inform them before you go. My friend who this happened to asked if he had to inform them about going to Wales and Scotland too. The woman on the phone said 'of course not and there was no need to be sarcastic because those countries are part of England but NI is abroad'

    aims for 2014 - grow more fruit and veg, declutter

    I am 100% certain that NI is part of the UK, but I was fairly surprised to learn that postage rates are the same as for an item going to the mainland.
