I think you're mistaken. I've been a member there for just over 5 years and there has been no banning of knowledgeable people period let alone out of spite. I think you might be confusing pepipoo and another well known consumer forum that has been known to spit its dummy from time to time - especially if your views conflict with certain mods whether you're perfectly mannered and argue your case well or not. What a mess pepipoo has become since the banned the knowledgeable people from the site out of spite, its just a mash of opinions now.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
vax2002,
been on to town hall,as the precinct was built in the 60's,planning permission/restrictions were a lot less detailed in those days, nothing other than "car parking spaces" is listed on documents.thanks for the effort.anything else anyone else?0 -
Have you been on pepipoo.com yet?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Have you checked your own lease? What does that have to say about car parking? If it specifies the use of spaces then ECP can take a hike.vax2002,

The planning permission for the precinct itself may well be years old but the chances are that individual units and aspects of it are not. If there has been any modifications - I'd find it difficult to believe there hasn't been in 40 years - then planning permission for those will have to have been sought. For example, in my local area a well known supermarket has occupied the same location for at least 20 years and there have been a stream of planning applications/permissions covering large extensions; installation of a new frozen food warehouse; internally illuminated signs and changes to car park layout etc etc etc. You may have been fobbed off. The vast majority of planning departments are available online and you are able to view planning application documents without charge. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

Remember ECP are acting as an agent for the landowner and it is quite possible for them to request that you never park your vehicle on the land again as long as you own it.
You could well end up with it being taken one day and it would be a struggle to get it back.
Personally I would get them to put the case in writing properly ie. write back and that you do not understand their letter and to state under what authority and for whom they are acting, and that you understand that any towing would result in the car being returned for no cost and that you can not take any responsibility for anybody else driving the vehicle as they will not have been in receipt of any letter from ECP.0 -

question,does anybody know,exactly,what a 7 day notice is?
Another question,if this land (car park) has been used for the same purpose since the 60's,free of charge, does custom and practice,or anything similar, have any bearing on the changes now in force?
getting more and more desperate,REALLY don't want to find out they have me by the botox!!0 -
Last time. Have you actually checked your lease, not ask the MC.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

'7 day notice' means nothing more than they are giving you seven days notice of their 'threat' to remove your car. But they can't clamp it nor charge a fee because there are (presumably) no clamping signs up? All they could possibly do is treat the car like a trespasser and move it elsewhere - but not charge for its return. ECP do not clamp cars.
IMHO ECP will not do anything but there was another case on here too, a few months ago (not the jimi thread). I searched but could not find the one I was thinking of - can anyone else recall it? The resident had parked on an entry road to her flats and a nearby company had 'declared it a car park' painted some bays and got ECP to start issuing fake PCNs, then she also got a notice on her car like you did. She saw a Solicitor I think and also put notices on her car saying that ECP could not remove or even touch the car...she beat them I seem to recall...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As Alexis said in #16 if Euro have the right to manage that land they can tell you not to park there! As long as they have the legal right.
What you need to do is prove they don't or you have the right to park there, as Peter the Piper asked have you read your lease.
We have seen these letters before but never seen the threat of removal carried out, you don't want to be the first!
Just reread your original post, is this a pay and display car park?0
