Are you capable of rational debate? My insults aren't insults - they are observations based on your inability to argue coherently. And you provide another example:

'rising volumes pre-empt falls in prices'.

I have never said that rising volumes pre-empt falls in price. What I did say that prices can fall as well as rise with increases in volume and that during a bear market prices often fall with increased volume due to an increase in supply.

You are a mindless bully. Your only strategy in debate is to wind people up by distorting their arguments so they snap and then you claim victory.

I don't mind snapping though - you are a vacuous waster of oxygen.

By most standards calling some a "moron" and "retard" would be considered insults.

Yes that is what I said and it doesn't bear any relation to your distortion: "'rising volumes pre-empt falls in prices"

"But that never happened in 2008, the only bear market we've had since the early 1990's. "

It did happen in 2008 (& periods in 2009, 2010, 2011) according to the data from the Land Registry, as I've already demonstrated.

Hi guys, why not just start again and state your respective cases. Otherwise, you're just going to argue about who said what, when, in response to what, who misunderstood whom, and quite frankly to an outside observer you will all continue to look like toddlers having a tantrum.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

"By most standards calling some a "moron" and "retard" would be considered insults. "

Only if it isn't borne out by the overwhelming weight of evidence.

The data from the land registry misses out 40/50000 sales per month. The only true volume data is from HMRC as I have indictaed.

    It's still an insult.

Fair enough, if that's you interpretation.

What's your interpretation of "But I think we can safely say your theory has zero merit. "

    Is that an insult?

I shouldn't have fallen into the trap of reacting to such deliberate provocations and I apologise for doing so. It is quite telling though that someone has to resort to such devices to try and win the support of the crowd.

You see it's come across as more telling that someone appears to have had a soundbite disproved and frankly has had a bit of a hissy fit. I'm not sure it's won you any support other than those who would support your argument no matter what.

    A "soundbite"?

What was my soundbite? Why do you describe something I've said as a soundbite?

My reasoning and the data are actually quite sound, so why do you dismiss it exactly (not to mention the fact that Rinoa presents arguments based on pseudo-science, quoting supply and demand when he clearly has absolutely no idea what he's talking about)? And how has it been disproved?- I've seen absolutely no evidence presented that has disproved anything I've said and on the contrary I've provided good examples of data that fit my arguments. You're welcome to support an argument against me that was derived by distorting my arguments and then cherrypicking data to prove the distortions if you want. I can also draw conclusions about you from your comments.

    @JonnyBravo

I work as a scientist. I review the work of other scientists as part of my job. Believe me, there's more to 'disproving' a hypothesis than saying: "But I think we can safely say your theory has zero merit. "

Perhaps I should put that in my next review of a grant application: "I think we can safely say this application for funding has zero merit"
