    afternoon people,

bargain bird i cant beleive you set yourself such a big target to do in a day!! well done for completing that even with help. a whole bedroom makeover. i bet she loves it.
funny day here. raining one minute and the sun out the next. my washing has been in and out and now it in the tumble dryer. went to al*i this morning and spent 6.95 so was really pleased with that as a top up shop. normal top up for me is about 20 pounds. still writing down all my food shopping each week and last week spent 80 odd pounds and the week before i spent 60 odd pounds. so far this weeek i have spent only the 7 pounds although i need to shop saturday so if you like im a week ahead ( i know what i mean) this is for 2 adults 2 kids with dd coming for tea as well once a week. im really pleased with this but i know that this is still fairly high. there seems to be hardly any picky bits in so im baking all the time to have stuff in.
cleaned the bathroom and tidied up. this doesnt sound like im doing much but i make a list of all my daylies and do these as well. this is stuff like make beds ,clean cat area, empty all bins, clean toilets, lunch tea, pack ups etc.
am i boring you all? i love to read all these posts and see what your all up to.
thats it for me today no work tonight yay
    have a good evening

    Afternoon all

Happy birthday Miss BB - hope she likes the room!
    (((nlmc)))

I also went to a funeral today, my colleagues father's. We all went from the office. The church was packed. His father used to play for the local rugby team in the 70s so there were a few Welsh rugby legends there. It was a nice service, half in Welsh half in English. My colleague seemed to be doing well. Mood in the office was surprisingly upbeat this afternoon considering, but we didn't get much work done, especially cos the internet and emails were all down!

However, sadly due to the fact that we were sitting upstairs in the church it appears to have triggered a vertigo attack :( The church itself was at the top of a big hill so it didn't help when I had to walk down it back to the minibus. I'm devastated cos I'd pinned my hopes on this specialist fixing me :( Luckily the worst of it passed within half hour but I still feel a bit groggy now. Just so fed up now.

Anyways, I've managed to get more free cinema tickets :) so me flatmate and her friend are going to see the remake of Footloose later. Not sure how well I'll cope as vertigo and cinema can be tricky, but not passing up on a freebie! I' also going to cinema with date boy tomorrow so that's 3 films in a week!

OS wise - flatmate has done my washing and put DW on too :)

    Have a good evening all

    Hi all,

Happy birthday to BB jnr xx

Hope the funerels went as well as can be expected x

I was up early again today, my body seems to be programmed to wake up at about 4.30:mad:

Spoke to DD,s school yesterday as I have been very worried about her behaviour towards the family and they phoned me today, they had a meeting with her and a few things have come to light that are worrying her that she felt she couldn,t tell me, have had a chat with DD and, fingers crossed we can get there together, she keeps things to herself and gets so upset that she self-harms, it hasn,t happened for nearly a year, so I was terrified that she might relapse - I think we have caught her in time this time - no an easy one to solve, but at least we,re all pulling in the same direction.

Anyway, I feel confident enough to pop out for a couple of hours to a friends retirement doo, DD has offerred to cook for DS and has a good girlfriend coming round for some girlie TLC - did tell her it was no problem if she would rather I was here, but I think she wants to talk to her buddie without Mum hovering in the background:cool:

Apart from having a NSD and making packed lunches have not done anything OS :)

Have a great evening all xx

Went to TKMaxx the other day and treated myself to a winter coat and boots that I had tried on and actually chosen rather than something that "would do". Got a deep purple "John Lakeland" padded coat with fur trimmed hood (should have been about £250 - reduced to £59!) and a pair of dark brown "Bearclaw" furry lined boots for £44 instead of over eighty pounds.:j

Spent today remonstrating with people who were supposed to replace gas hob and double oven - got order wrong and wanted to charge us double etc. Finally late this afternoon got things sorted and should get things done on Monday morning. DH got the new curtains and thermal linings put up at the front door and it looks good so something got done today.

Last night was leek and potato soup and even picky dds loved it but today has been such a hassle that I might just do baked potatoes with beans and cheese or something simple and quick.

    Happy birthday to bbs daughter:bdaycake:

Happy birthday to BBs DD, hope it was a fab day for her and she enjoys her new room, well done BB.

Been struggling with the 2 jobs this last couple of weeks, actually have a night off tonight but have been to local hospice to do my bit. Thank goodness it's school half term here next week, at least I get the days off!

Thought my hens had gone out early this morning only to find them all dead in their house this afternoon. Something (either a fox or mink I think) has been in and killed them all. I have only found 7 of them so goodness knows what happened to the other 2. Feeling a little devastated at the moment.

Hope the poorlies feel better soon and anyone with worries can sort them out. Take care. XX
