Think Winter is here...Its freezing, still not put my heating on yet though, I'm sitting in a baggy thick jumper, leggings and warm socks with a throw over chucked over my legs so I'm nice and snug.

Yesterday was such a busy day I hardly had time to think I was in and out of home all day so today I am going to chill on the sofa do my menu plans & Christmas lists.

WM & DW is on, Chicken in the SC, cleaning all done just got to prepare the veg for tea.

Because yesterday was so chaotic DH bought us a Chinese for tea now I feel really guilty cos the £12 he spent could have been spent on something we really need for the home or even a pressie for DS for Christmas...Must start making a few meals we can just pull out the freezer and get in the oven when we have days like we had yesterday so we are not tempted to waste ridiculous amounts of money

Chicken roast for tea tonight followed by Apple crumble ... My favourite :D

Hope you all have a lovely day... x

    Hoppy Birdday to Bargainbird's DD1.:bdaycake:

Sad to hear of Steve Jobs passing; Mr LW is a professional techie, and I guess I now count as a techie by default, so we've been following events; I rather suspected this would happen when he stepped down from the Board. Although we don't ourselves currently use any Apple stuff, he made a huge contribution to technology, and in any case, 56 is far too young to be trekking off to the Summerlands.:(

OS bit.... WM-load of Mr LW's clothes is "blowin' in the wind"; and we're scratching our heads to work out a method of cleaning the bathroom now I have the new bath lift - current thinking is for me to do all but the inside of the bath on Flylady Bathroom Day, and at the weekend, Mr LW will take the bath lift out, we'll do the inside of the bath, and also clean the bath lift before it goes back.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Morning all, I started reading this thread about 2 hours ago but keep getting distracted!

I am feeling positive today - I managed to get my much needed coat in the sale yesterday at 20% off so it was only £63 which I didn't think was bad for something that should last me for years! I also managed to get a work skirt with some gift vouchers that I had been given. I still have £25 worth of vouchers to use for something else work-related when I see something I like. I need some smart stuff for work really.

Today I need to post a card, make an appointment with the nurse and one with the doctor - will do these things in my lunch break.

I also would like to start making my Christmas lists - food, presents etc. I dont buy for many people but I do like to plan and budget so need to start soon.

I still havent got to grips with everyones names on here but I do read with interest about everyones lives and I feel very welcome - thank you!

    Have a great day everyone.

Morning ladies and gents(????) blue sky but bbbrrrrrr so chilly. Still feeling like I've been hit by a truck . Have not long got up:o:o.
Happy Birthday BB dd, hope she has a lovely day
Hope the funeral goes well ( how stupid does that sound? apologies)
Hope all poorlies are on the mend soon.

A nice easy day today , want to preserve any energy I have the prob with me is I seem to pick up everything that is going round and never really shift anything properly:(:(

Dinner is spagbol , I must remember to keep an eye on how much red wine I bung in this time. liquid was 3/4 red wine and a quarter beef stock last time I made it;)

Ds has been offered a job in a chip shop , he had his first shift last night , and I was in bed when he got back. Walked in the kitchen this morn and was hit by the smell of a chip shop. They are allowed to bring home what ever they want at the end of a shift as otherwise it will be thrown away. Must ask him not to bring as much back.
But he brought home some pukka pies that have been cooked , could these be put into the freezer for a later date??. They are blooming expensive .
He met the fella that lives opposite as he was coming home , he had just finished work (10pm) so ds gave him 2 large cod, and a portion of chips so that was his tea sorted. Ds said he will give him some everynight he works there , bloke gave him a fiver.

So going to take a slow walk up to the bathroom to see if a long soak in the bath will help with the aches and pains.

Have a lovely day everyone , hugs for all.:)
Paul Walker , in my dreams;)
  • Good morning all...

Well it's bl***y freezing here today even with the sun out!
I awoke for the first time in a week without pain in my foot :j (to be fair though the painkillers are like bloomin horse tranquilisers!! My sister couldn't collect dd from school yesterday, had I known this a little sooner I would not have taken another dose before the school run. Believe me a had more than a few strange looks from teachers/parents and dd.

So feeling fresh I popped into town, remembered this am that dd has a party today at 4pm which I had no pressie 4  luckily I live right by town and school so is a 5 min walk to shops :D
But again I tried to much to soon and am now on the sofa, head spinning, struggling to do this whilst my drugs take full control :p

So again no OS for me today (I can see things staring at me beggin to be cleaned, it's driving me insane)
Could really do with getting an order in but I dont like online shopping and I've been ordered NO DRIVING by my GP. I have a whole bunch of coupons burning a hole in my bag waiting to be used so may try and go 2moro if I can find a volunteer to take me :(

Have a lovely day all xxx

dasiegg, look after yourself, rest and hopefully you will get better asap ((hugs))

Afternoon all, just home on my lunch to wash the sheets and put a sausage stew in the SC. I'm going foraging later for chestnuts, apples and hopefully some mushrooms so I want something hot ready when I got in. OH is still waiting for his start date at work but spoke to the company yesterday and they said they're meeting with the client he will work on next week and once they're on board he can start.

    Just popped back in

Back from town and a nice lunch with DD using vouchers so not much more expensive than a sandwhich.
Had to buy some cheap Ug type boots from Primani as my shoes were killing me, I couldn't have walked another step. I did need some brown ones anyway, oh the relief:p
Also bought some brown leggings since my lightbulb moment about leggings and dresses:D I know everyone else has been doing this for ages:o
Hugs for the dizzies and poorlies, hope you feel better soon.
Didn't find any jeans, they all seem to be made for 6'2 women or elves and nothing in between.
Anyway what to make for tea, decisions decisions ....
