10,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
My first thought is spam as: Our system tells us that you may be a possible winner

The word "may" rings alarm bells :-)

I've had an email from NetfreeStuff with this
    Congratulations!
Our system tells us that you may be a possible winner with the right to receive a prize:
    2 x £ 1,000 shopping voucher from Currys - Argos - TOPSHOP - H&M!

Please verify your entry as soon as possible, otherwise all prizes that are not answered for will be re-entered in to the draw.

Don't know whether to trust it. Any body else had this. Do I answer it? help appreciated
    TIA

I receive them nearly every day and just delete them! - note they say you may be a possible winner, not that you have won :(

my advise delete and forget, if you answer you will probably get loadsa :spam:
hope that you get a proper wem (winners email) soon

    Best of Luck :)

I've just received an email from The Deli Shack, and it's showing hundreds of email addresses at the top, several I recognise as compers from MSE and elsewhere. I was wondering what would be the best way to deal with this.

First thought was that I should point it out to them to stop them doing it in the future. But this one's already gone out, so I don't think there's much that can be done about that now, is there?

As you say there's not much you can do about the emails that have already been sent out

but they should know that they have made a mistake so that they don't make the same mistake in future

so a polite email explaining the mistake would seem to be the best policy

I've received this very prompt reply this morning:

"Please accept our profound apologies and thank you for letting us know. It was a huge mistake to send the email out in the format you received. It should not have happened and we will ensure it does not occur again.

This is our own business, run and managed by us and we are appalled that we have sent out private information. It was purely a case of doing everything too quickly without having the proper checks in place, but no excuse.

    Yours sincerely,

    Iain and Lisa Thompson
