I would say that it depends on the type of comp that you are entering and it applies to online and postal comps

the bigger the prize the more entrants, car's TV's electrical goods and holiday's are some of the most popular and because of this they are much harder to win

Large value prizes = more entrants
small value prizes = less entrants

small effort to win a prize = more entrants
Large effort to win a prize (slogans, and written effort) = less entrants

Popular magazines and newspapers = more entrants
Local newspapers and magazines = less entrants

The bigger the area that a comp covers (whole of UK and Worldwide = more entrants
Area restricted comps tied to a small area or postcode = less entrants

Facebook and Twitter comps are now becoming very popular and are now receiving more entries = more entrants

blog comps = less entrants (but they are becoming more popular)

as you can see by the above "less" = more success so do more "less" than more :rotfl:

having said all this there are less people doing the postals comps now so you do have a slightly better chance of winning via the postal route but only if they are low entry comps

    which is better "FIGHT!!!"

online = free (providing you already have internet access)
    postal = costly

maybe just do low entry comps via post and any others online

don't forget to read the comping guide (if you haven't already) here

    hope this helps!

    Best of Luck :)

    Hi Cat,

You could post the comp in advance without the answer (and amount), and we could bump with the answer later?
